Does the nfusion phoenix ever have a working guide? It doesn't automatically update it when teh receiver is on standby(yes I have it configured to do it automatically)... It also seems to lose the information quite fast.. Like if I manually download it, change the channel a few times, and go back, I have to wait for it to download again for like 5 minutes.. Is this fixable?

You can always set your guide update to auto in the receiver menu, or set it to manual, and press the guide button on the remote, once you have done this, if you press the blue button, the guide will begin to update, and it does take a few minutes to do this.

WELL. like I said above. I've done that. and it never is updated. and when I DO a manual update, sometimes it forgets the guide a channel change or two later..

with the extreme bin you dont need noi or a computer running
you can find the extreme bin in the nfusion files as well as a tutorial to set it up

really? Any other benefits? Does it work better? I actually looked thru my guide settings last night and it was set for extended, since switching it to basic, its retaining all information.. I actually require a computer to run as I'm using it as a hotspot to run my nfusion off... But if this bin has other benefits, I think I'll give it a whirl!

The only benifit for you would be not having to rely on noi sense you need your pc running.

Ok. well I need a pc running regardless since its my hotspot.. I read there are some bugs, are any of them prominent problem?

so far it works ok I would say fewer than noi as you dont have to wait for noi to connect and it leaves the noi part out of the equasion when troubleshootingt

The xtreme file has it's quirks, sometimes you have to soft reboot and the EPG takes a long time to populate, and it is basically no more than an hour of EPG.

I have the same problem tried all the different bins to no avail.. Been on the forums forever and no one has found a solution for me yet. :/ Probably a defective unit.
