Hello gang, today ( September 14th 2012)I decided to install OTA since a couple of neighbors mention seeing more channels than previous months, so I went and got a HDTV converter, brand Digital Stream model DTX9950, also got a 4 element antenna Brand Voltech model48470, I have used Brands like RCA, Zenith and few more, to be honest this Digital Stream is the best when it comes to pick up signals, example, at Mom's house doesn't matter what I do with the antenna signal strength always weak and a few channels found 5 tops. I just installed the Digital Stream started a Scan a ready with 15 channels. At my house also got same results still missing 3 channels friends mention they have but the antenna I saw at the roof is a huge one almost 6 feet long.

Update, I got today (October 30 2012) this OTA with motor from a friend, bought it new and gave it to me for a few weeks to test it find out the ups and downs how to use it etc. etc. But like always I will like your opinion about it, antenna model# ANT-850R from Miyako USA.

nice! for me here, i just plug the back of the coax to my tv and switch the TV's menu to "antenna" and i can watch OTA HD channels..
of course i have to point my antenna towards the tower emitting the channels.
good luck with the motor and have fun.

Indoor rabbit ears made out of tinfoil, a coat hanger and a block of wood works for me.

Outdoor antennas work best when its not obstructed by trees and buildings.
