Can I just move the direction of my 18 inch 61.5 dish towards 72.7 and by just adjusting the direction and elevation, can I receive channels from 72.7? I am in the East.
Now, second questions would be which IKS is currently supporting 72.7 HD and mostly trouble free?
Thanks!

yes you can move 61.5 to 72.7. but i would recommend that if you can, move to 129 instead because there is alot more support for hd there.

an 18 inch dish won't be big enough to get 129 channels from Eastern USA. I will probably need a 30+ inch dish to get any channels.

That is definitely true when it comes to EC Canada and i think EC US is the same. I think they recommend a 32 or 33" dish but if u are ever thinkin about puttin up one, grab a 39" dish. I dont think they cost any more and are just as easy to put up and the extra inches will go a long way. You will get much better Q%, very helpful for those raining days. ;)

Im as far east as u can get, love that ocean air, and i can get a pretty high Q% on 129 with my 39 incher.

Cheers

16665No problem with 129 on an 18" dish, 99% quality all the time!16664

I'm in the lower 48 about mid way and 200 miles from the east coast. Used an 18" pan pointed at 129 and it worked just fine for me. Even back when the old sat wobbled a bit. lol

I know up here i western Canada I would need at least a 30" to get a decent sig on 129...I get way better sig on 72 but the epg doesn't populate fully.....I'm also hoping someone else supports ea....nfps has dropped it (for now anyway)
