Hello gang, went to FTA store today and owner always happy to see me, received me with this STB, remember I am saying what he told me, He showed me his new item Fully HD wireless, Pansat Made,(the way I see it is a clone but he says it is not because Pansat backs up this product) he has 1 in display with C band, Ku Band with a few Sats like 99.2w, 30w, and 91w, he has more but I remember checking those tree at the SAT list, anyway I like to share and also hear what you guys know about this or want to know about this STB. P.S. He canceled the STB Manhattan wish he offered it to me a few months back for 350$ and this Linkbox price is 190$.

Didnt pansat get closed down by DN because they had some proprietary code for N2 in their files..

No clue JCO, he mention something about a Korean buying the Pansat, but when he started that conversation I had to go, I was working against clock.

The Pansat 9500 is an ali-chip receiver as are the openbox, skybox and manhattan receivers. If these peeps have or had anything to do with the old Pansat then they should have gone with another processor as the 9500 was basically a flop. I think I'll wait and let the dust settle before inquiring into the purchase of one of these, after all, I can pick up an ali-chip receiver for $70 brand new.

Indeed you are right, also I notice it doesn't have an ethernet port and he mention this STB is wireless, don't see where but he said it, also it has skew control but is an add on connected to RS232 serial port, have to buy it from them if interested, True FTA testers will like this feature, sure they would of prefer it integrated like old Pansats, but they built it this way in Korea.....lol I lost interest in this STB already, other features are awesome but the ethernet thingy I didn't like.Turbo

I sent them an e-mail telling them I'd like to test this receiver out but I'm not holding my breathe. The skew thingy is extremely important on circular tp when using a wideband corotor. I'm thinking of another 10' install or changing the feed on my 10' bud for those circular Atlantic sats.

Got a reply from Hugo at Linktv Media and I will be receiving a unit to test out. There is also a wifi adapter which I will be testing. The specs for this box almost seem identical to the Pansat 9500hd, can't wait to start testing it out.

Using the wrong file may cause the unit to stop working.

Turbo, there is clearly an ethernet port on the back of this stb. Just sayin'.....

Ok, so it's Tuesday...I installed the stb, installed file, no signal....439 does not work. Try 437, at least you get signal and can scan. Out of the box it does not scan t8PSK and I see no place to install a non proprietary board if one exists, at least with currently available replacement boards. I haven't seen anything about a replacement board for this stb. With 437 there is no place to enter ps, either.
Pluses.....fast scanning, easy to use, blind scan....potential if they continue to "improve" this model. Ican find no user reviews anywhere for this stb, so here's the first, short, not so sweet....hopefully others will be able to add info.

from reading the 8000 plus uses the LS 400 or LS 500 8psk module which is the same as the limesat Air's and as far as newcamd setting for p$ there is a hidden menu

also see a skybox file can be used which is supposed to clear up some bugs... SKY Box_05Mar2013_V110.zip‎
