Has anyone been able to play a file recorded on a JynxBox back on a PC other than a free recorded channel? If so, what program or codecs did you use?

Either use vlc media player or download xp codec pack. Don't let the name fool you it's not just for xp. lol

I have VLC and various codecs installed. Other mpeg files from other sources play back fine, as well as recordings from free channels. It is just the encrypted channels that are the problem. The recordings play back on the JynxBox, (even without the network cable plugged in) just can not play them on a PC or other media players. Have you tried, or can you try recording and see if your results are the same. I am woundering if the other files (the .dvr files) with the TS file are needed to decrypt the file. If you delete the DVR files, the JynxBox Video Player (not the record player) can not play the TS file.
Note this is with the 212 firmware.
More Info:
The recordings made from encrypted channels are encrypted. If in the record player on the JynxBox there is a blue box with a $ in it next to the recording number, then the recording is encrypted.
A way of decrpting the recordings is needed to convert the files for they can be played back on other devices.
