Welcome to satfix.
Most will change between servers on their own and all can be changed manually simply by turning one off then turning another on.

Never a good idea to have two servers running at same time..can cause freezing issues.. Most receivers can do multiple servers.. Some like the neusat, sonicview you can pick the server and start it....one at a time..
others like the limesat ultra, viewsat x-fta you have multiple servers slots and can disable all but the one you want to use or they will all connect... and can cause freezing...

now if you can change your password with ease such as if you have a dealer panel then you can just have more than one server activated but change password on ones you dont want box to connect to. so no freezing issues..as box can only connect to one..

I'm sorry ..........what???? running 2 servers has worked well on Nanosat Premium & as Anubis states most others... yes it can cause freezing but usually doesn't... if it does simply disable the port by putting in zeros if needed...

If one server starts giving an issue such as freezing... and box is connected to both or the server that is freezing then you will have freezing... until you disable that server..

box can only get cw's from one server so how can that happen?

thats what i mean.. you have both servers active.. such as on a x-fta or limesat.. which server is actually connected? only way to tell is to go to a channel one server does not have working right? then other server kicks in...now what if both servers you have have the same or very similar channels and the server you are currently connected to starts freezing or having issues..?? other server that is not freezing does not just kick in..

so what is the big deal, that auto server thing is more of a pain than anything else and it must take all of 15 seconds to navigate a menu and disable one and enable a different one

That would depend on how much one has had to drink. lol

So in closing newbies may think that having two active servers running in their box will make it work so much better.... but better to just use one at a time... and if it starts freezing or goes down then you use the other one....
