Nimiq 5 72.7 epg ?

Can someone tell me why you can not get the 72.7 epg on veiwsat max HD or viewsat 9000 HD
But it is ok on most other receivers,is it the program or some other problem and can this be fixed ?

If it`s not supported by the people who write programs for the viewsats then there won`t be and good channel list.

To view the Dish interactive EPG your receiver has to have the software to decode and use it, the interactive EPG is based on what your subbed Dish receiver is authorized to view at that location, it then downloads and sorts out what channels your are subbed to and displays them.

If your FTA receiver doesn't have the correct software to decode the whole package (all channels on all birds) you wont get it.

The only way to fix this is a new software package, and since Viewsat is out of business I wouldn't expect a new factory file anytime soon.

Maybe someone could mod the last one, but that's up to the coders.

This has been taken care of in some of the newer receivers.
