the problem of bad or no signsl is common with dlhd.you need to reboot each time you have the issue.
upedate changed my new 4 to 1 cheita by a new emp centr, and so far so good.

I have never experienced loss or no signal ever with DL. Dishes about 140 ft away or more using RG6 cable, and 1x8 (DMS International) switch. Make sure unused openings on switch are plugged. Another thing I did was elevate my receiver about 2 inches off the shelf to allow better circulation from underneath for cooling. Not sure but I think if its the module it would only effect HD channels. not the SD channels. Another thing you might check is your receivers setting for LNB type. Also heavy overcast weather and certain times of day with respect to the sun will also cause signal loss.

The DL on a motorized dish is a real pain, same for Limesat Air. The sun should have no effect but hard rain and electrical storms will screw things up. When I first installed the DL I received 97% s&q no matter where the dish was. Same lnb as you but switch is Emp. My cable run is around 100'. I reinstalled the original sd chip and was able to find the sats but got nothing on the scan. I then turned off the motor in the menu and reinstalled the hd chip. Again I received 97%. Purchase a new HD chip, installed a fan and same thing. Again turned off the motor and installed the good old SV8000 only to find I was not looking at the sat I thought I was with the DL so I moved the motor to a sat that I knew with TP:'s I new were active. Reinstalled the DL, scanned an got nothing. In the menu I had the port set on Diseqc sw 1.1, when I set the port to 1.0 and turned the 1.1 off I had s&g around 70%, tweaked it with motor to 85%. After a scan, which was succesful the sat I had scanned popped up top left of the menu. After that it was guestimating how far to move to get the sat I wanted. USAL did not function properly so hit an miss was the only way and they market this as an FTA receiver. Go figure. Last thought, I had my dis rotate a bit on the pole once due to strong wind, you may want to check your due south. I do this on a sunny day and line up due south at solar noon for my area. Most accurate method. If you don't know how to do this let me know and I will provide detail,
ps: you do not have to reboot to get s. You will see s&q change as you move the motor, no reboot required.
