JYNXBOX was working fine until last night all of a sudden i lost all the signals on four sats 110, 118 119 and 129. I have file V212 loaded successfully couple of days ago. Checked a similar thread and did factory resets and loaded different files like V217 and V214 but no change. Can someone please help me as i desparately need my tv back. Following is a typical setting on one of the satellite:
Satellite: 110.0W Echostar 10
Tuner: LNB (Fixed On)
LNB Freq: 11250
Transponder: 12224 V 20000
DiseqC 1.0: Port1
DiseqC 1.1: Disable
Legacy SW: OFF
Legacy LNB: OFF
22K: OFF

Please note i have LNB Power at ON position.

So you didn't change anything before the signal loss? I don't know where you live but we had hellacious winds lastnight, could your dish have moved maybe...

I have two recievers at home. The other one is limesat which is running flawlessly meaning that dishes did not move. I did not make any change to the reciever when the signals loss happen. Don't know what to do...

Need a little more info on what dishes, lnbs and switches you're using, it does sound odd if the limesat is working. Could a switch have gone bad...

You have not specified the particular dish you are using. Most use port 1 as 119w, port 2 as 110w, and port 3 as 129w.
If using dpplus type lnb then you need to select ocs-dp under legacy lnb menu.

I have been using this setting for a long time now. @Dishuser i have done factory reset many times and tried using all three files V207, V212 and V214 did try both Legacy LNB off and at OCS-DP settings.....nothing is working

If nothing has changed in your set up and your Lime works then my money is on the fact that your tuner card (JB100) went South on you and you need to replace it.

The same happened to me this morning, lost signals. I need to go back to a different file. I think 214 has this issue not sure about 212.

It happened to me once some time ago but the signals came back when i played with the reciever. Don't know what i did and have tried all possible options of different settings and loading different files. Tomorrow i will replace the DiseqC switch and will see if it works and will update for other users.

Now you are saying you don't know what you did when in your original post you said nothing changed. Well something has obviously changed in your setting.

By the way, there is no file 217 as you mentioned in your first post.

do you have a power inserter, if not and you have a dp or a dpp lnb your JB100 tunner is dead, the jynx dont have enought power
for that lnb and now you will need a new JB100 or a JB200 module.:comfort1:

I'm back to 207 file and no problem with signal so far, and I don't have power inserter.

if you are useing a DP or DPP LNB you will kill your jynx box, you need more power for the LNB.

I read on another site from Homer who is very smart with Jynx that 214 requires that you reconfigure your LNBs by hand. I always do this anyway so I have no issues with 214 but I see many others do. May I strongly suggest that you try Homer's advice. Reload 214. Do a factory default. Configure your sats/LNBs/Switches by hand. Do not reload an old database. Then rescan. I think you will be happy with the results.

Thanks everyone for the help. I got my reciever back and running. What i did after reading all your useful posts was to do a factory reset, hard reboot from the back of the reciever and then went to the old 207 file. Luckily the JB100 was not damaged. I think the issue was with the LNB of my 129 bird. The first time the signal loss happened was couple of days after i installed my dish 129. So after i got my siganls back and whenever i am scanning my dish 129, the reciever loses signals. SO there is something wrong with that LNB. May be as iq180 said, jynx does not have enough power dp or dpp LNBs and my lnb is of that type.

here is a good test to see if your jynx has enought power for your setup, after your jynx has been on for 2 hrs put your hand
on the top of the jynx to see how hot it is then feel of the coax cable at the back of the jynx, if the the coax is as hot as the box
then you dont have enough power.
option 1 how to fix this problem, a power inserter on the first port of the DPP lnb.
option 2, this is what i use, i have a DN sub reciver 311 but you can use any old DN reciver for power, hook the old sub reciver up
to the first port of the DPP lnb this will power the lnb, then put the jynx on the next port then run your 129 sat cable to the last port,
now in the jynx sat menu set 119 to port 1, 110 to port 2 & 129 to port 3, this works.

Since I went back to 207bin " I was using 212-214" no more lost of signal, I don't think the problem is the need of external power rather it's a file issue. I

have 119-118,110,129 DP all running without a problem and the receiver is no where near hot, not even warm with this cold

weather.

I haven't tried the new 215 or 216 files yet but when I do I will report back regarding the lost of signal.

Now I have a new jynx v2 with jb200, I don't have a problem with 217 Dual file, and I was reading that for an older boxes you need to switch the JB100 or JB200B to slot number 2 this way you won't have any problems with signal with the newer files "212-217".
