Hi, i was thinking of installing an 8psk HD module into my SV 9000 HD receiver, would it improve anything ?

What does this module do ?

You do have a Viewsat 9000 ??? not sure by what you mean SV 9000 (Sonicview)if you install a 8psk module you will be able to get the HD channels without it you can only get SD channels so you will see a great improvement in picture quality.

Yes it is a viewsat 9000 HD, I see that there are 8psk modules with a red board and greens boards what is the difference ? Are ones clones ?
And are they hard to install into the receiver ?

You have to get the one that is designed for your receiver, using one that isn't will FUBAR your receiver, turning it into a nice book stop.

As to what one to use I don't know.

Anyone know which 8psk module is right for the receiver ? I was told that the sk900 version 3 is right ?

yes, the sk900 v3 is the best 8psk module to use with your VS9000HD...
