Favorite freezing remote

Good Morning everyone and Happy thanksgiving to all

I just finished setting up my favorite on my dream link HD but what weird that when I select favorite
menu and select a channel it takes 2 to 4 minutes before it switched over to it and during this
time I cant use the remote until it switches ove,r so basically it freezes up the remote.
and it only happens when changing from regular epg to favorite

Has any body seen or experienced this problem,
