I have no idea where to post this but here. The reason I had upgraded to the jynxbox was figuring the sv360e I had before was causing the picture quality issue. Its not bad but it still kinda drives me. I have a big tv and would like it not to have a bit of a fuzz to it. I know it wont be bluray quality but what can I do to make it the best I can. I am on 110, 119 now and am prolly going 82 and 91 soon to see what b3v hd programming is like considering 110 and 119 dont have much in the way of HD .

I think Ive got mostly the best stuff I can ie:
jynbox ultra HD
quad shield coax rated to the 3ghz and its grounded
dish 500 pro with twin lnbs
HDMI into my 51" samsung plasma

Dont know what else to do but ask the pros here.

Dont know what else to do but ask the pros here.friend for the hd channels you have to aim a dish to ciel2 @129 for the hd channels,if you have a regular dish 500 and twin lnb for sats 110-119 you might consider getting a dish 1000.2 dp lnb for sats 110-119-129,good luck friend....

because you are on a 480 channel not 720 or 1080...

You need to match the setting of the box to the setting of your tv. If your tv is 1080p then use 1080p_30 or 60 setting on the jynx and go into screen setting and adjust your picture quality to your eye. I know it would be nice to be able to see a channel while doing your settings and it has been brought up to the Jyxn team as it is a pain to keep exiting out to check your changes then go back to make more adjustments. You may need to make some minor adjustments to your tv as well.

Ideally you want to do this on a working HD channel that you can get.

119 & 110 are good sats to have, but you truly need to look into getting 129 as well if you want to enjoy this box to it's potential.
Otherwise you might as well have gotten a nextfta box....

If you got it, you might as well use it. The learning curb is worth it.....

Vader who are you using as a PS$? I am having some similar issues.

So Annubis - if your tv says it will display in 1080P do you put picture to 1080P, what if the tv channel is is a sd channel, is sd channel 480P or 480I so then I adjust to that setting?

Adjust the box to the same capable setting your tv will do. Set box on auto. No further adjustment needed.

I am assuming by the fact you said your tV was 1080p that it is 16:9. If you use this setting in the Jynx then the picture will not be streatched. By not stretching you will reduce the blurring or fuzz you see. To be exact, you will enjoy the quality a lot more. You are not using the full capacity of the 16:9 tv by having black bars on both sides of the picture, but the improvements are worth the bars!

There are many possible reasons for fuzzy picture. Could be your settings as mentioned all ready. It could also be that you are watching an sd channel on a large tv. Sd channels on hd tvs will always look fuzzy as compared to an hd channel. Especially if it is an older hd tv with poor sd-to-hd filter. I recently upgraded from an older hdtv to a newer 3d one and the sd picture is greatly improved. You should try one of the hd channels (9420+) and see if the fuzzys improve. One side note, i find that hd and sd is way sharper on bev then dn, even though the hd on bev is only 720p (vs 1080i on dn).

I have great fairly new Samsung 60" TV with 240 refresh, 3D and aps. I have a Belden HDMI cable. If I set the Jynx to Auto it winds up back at 720 when I turn Jynx off/on. I have to set mine on to 1080p_60 to be sure I get that setting. Picture knocks my socks off on an HD channel. I know provider is not sending 1080 but still very good quality. SD channels are still nice but definitely somewhat fuzzy at best. You really need to hit the 129 sat. Well worth the investment. I am spoiled now. I only want to watch the HD channels.

The picture quality on bev has always been better than any other satellite provider because their picture is not as compressed like dn is.

Basically I think its just DN broadcast quality. Its sd on a big hd screen. I just had originally hoped that it was the sv360 could only output 480 and that it would be better when I went to the jynx @ 1080. On B3V hd its amazing. so its not my settings. But alas on b3v I miss the DN programming. Either you have wicked pic quality or more stuff to watch on lower quality. Grass is always greener I guess, thankyou all for your help and suggestions tho
