I had read a post here awhile ago on how to get the remote to work better( at wider angles ).I could not make heads or tails out of it but that someone had got in there and made it better got me thinking. So today why my IKS was down I took the opportunity to take a look inside. It is not hard to fix just take off the top then unplug the two wires plugs that attached to the the face plate. Then there's two screws to take off that holds the top of the face plate on. Take off the six screws that hold the board to the face plate. You will see a cage around the IR receiver ( an X ) remove the X with some nail clippers or some other fine nippers so there is nothing in front of the IR receiver glass bulb. I think that would do it. But I took a hot razor knife to the plastic housing and cut one of the board support bosses out, and the bottom to give a bigger fielded of view. I only wanted to get into the box once so I went overboard. So if your remote can get you upset try this. It works really good now.:yes:
