Its 1 of 3 things... either there is a break in the cable somewhere along the way from your dish or your LNB and/or diseqc switch has failed. The only other thing I can think of that would cause this issue is a bad capacitor. I would start by disconnecting your LNB and connect a short cable from your receiver to the LNB. If your signal goes up your receiver is in good shape. If it does not go up try a different LNB. If you are using a standard LNB setup you should replace your diseqc switch. If you get the same results with the new switch then you should consider replacing the cable. If your receiver still gets no signal after trying all that... its going to be a capacitor. There were some nice tutorials on the old satfix as well as a few other forums on how to change the capacitor yourself. You will just need to do some reading and searching. Good Luck! :)

When you say you have another stb on the same cable, does this mean you are running 2 stb's on the same line, or you have connected another stb to the same cable and you are getting S/Q with it. FYI, you cannot run 2 stb's off the same cable, you have to run separate cables and switches from LNB's.

The "S" reading just shows a connection to the LNB, "Q" is signal strength!

Also make sure you have the right transponder, switch, and switch location
