Is there a way to get short channels names on this receiver as Its new to me and maybe I'm looking right past it?

yes you can, menu=tv ch list=ok=edit=sort=A to Z= or Z to A=.

Not SORT. I meant SHORT channel names ex. Instead of lifetime movie network I'd like the short version just LIFE.
On my other receivers there's a menu to select long channel names or short but I can't find it on this one

yes you can rename the chs in that menu=menu=tv ch list=ok= now go to the ch that you want to rename and press ok, now press the blue button, now press the green button one time then press ok and edit the ch name.

Ok thanks guys maybe we can get this option in an update
