Hi,

I just bought the NextFTA and am wondering how do I setup with DPP44.

My Setup:

HD Plus LNBF (4 ports) with one port is linked up to one dish pro LNBF for 118 international channels and 3 un-used ports connect to DPP44 switch with power inserter.

My question is that do I need the diseq switch in addition to the DPP44 or the DPP44 is efficient enough. Also in the setup menu, what would be my LNB setting for each sat?

Thanks

Is this your lnb?

What kind of lnb for 118?

You dont need a diseq but you will turn diseq on in settings and assign 119 to port 1.
110 to port 2,.129 to port3 118 to port 4
lnb type will be dishpro1 for ALL except 118 which is dishprofss

The power inserter needs to be on it's own coax, the receiver can run off the other 3 outputs of the switch, this due to that some FTA receivers don't play nice with the power inserter.

Also the DPP 44 switch may not like to work with NON- dish approved LNB's, it was designed for DPP LNB's.

This is my LNB for dish plus:

and this is for my other LNB that was attached to the same dish:

16910

The setup I saw for mine is:

3 ports free for the 4 ports HD Plus LNB, the dish pro lnbf is linked to the 4th port of the HD Plus LNB, then 3 open ports of the Dish Plus LNB go into my house.

OK for that setup you need to run the 3 outputs from the two headed LNB to the DPP44 switch in the following order, from left to right with the LNB eyes facing you it goes, #1 output to the #1input on the switch, #2 output to the #2 input on the switch, #3 output to the #4 input on the switch.

Then the output from the single LNB (for 129W) goes to the #3 input on the switch.

Diseqc switching order on your receivers satellite settings are, Diseqc #1 = 119, Diseqc #2 = 110, Diseqc #3 = 129, and Diseqc #4 = 118.

However I don't think that 2 headed LNB is the right one for 118 and 119 on a Dish 1000+ setup, it should look like the one below.

I think the one you have was for a Dish 500+, and that setup didn't work too good as the signal for 118 is a lot weaker then the one for 119, they had to go with a bigger dish for 118, and a different LNB setup.

I have ViP722 HD Receiver with that setup and I be able to get HD, International, and normal dish channels as well. I am gonna hook up NextFTA with this setup so I have sub receivers and FTA for testing. Right now DPP44 is not hook up yet (originally just a normal DN switch.

If you have just the one VIP 722 and it is only using the first 2 ports on the LNB then you have a third output on the LNB for the NextFTA receiver, you wont need the DPP44 switch, just run another coax down to the NextFTA and your done.

If you have more then the one Dish receiver then you need to hook up the DPP44 as I mentioned in post #5, the DC power inserter will have to go inline with the #1 receiver port from the switch to the VIP722, then you will have to do a switch check on the dish receivers so that they know a DPP44 is installed inline now.

Then you will have 4 reciver ports to use, but the first 2 from the switch will have to go to the VIP722.

You can also add as many as 2 more DPP44's to this setup, giving you 12 receiver ports to work with.
