The jury in the Michael Durant double-murder trial is back behind closed doors for a seventh day after deliberations ended Tuesday night.

The six-man, six-woman jury has deliberated for almost 50 hours since last Thursday.

Deliberations will resume Wednesday morning.

Durant, 39, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Diane Dimitri, 32, and Cassey Cichocki, 22.

The jury has asked to review audio tapes of testimony from various witnesses since deliberations began.

On Tuesday, the jury asked to review testimony from a woman who told police she may have seen Cichocki on Queen St. in the days after Niagara Regional Police contend she was killed.

Cichocki's body was discovered near Whirlpool Rd. on Jan. 24, 2006. Dimitri's body was found Aug. 9, 2003 in a ditch in Welland.
