HD Channels on Dreamlink

New to this forum and to Dreamlink

Glad to join in.

I got a Dreamlink and did all the set up and everything is working fine exept for Hd .

I have scanned 110, 111,118, and 119 sats but the Hd channels are not showing and according to Lyngsat thare quite a few Hd channels on the 110 but they are not in my EPG.

Do i have to have 129 ciel2 in order to get HD or is there some more setting up to be done?

Perhaps your lnb setting's are incorrect??

I would get a dish up for 129w its pretty much all hd.

I can't see why, the signal and quality are strong and the SD channels are all there ???

It sounds like possibly you either don't have an HD board installed or the HD board you installed is not working. Are you sure you have a Dreamlink HD with turbo board and not SD?

Daryld, I hope so, I'm not sure about the board but in the manual scan menu there's a option " Turbo 8PSK " wich I selected.

unless you bought and installed the module you won't get hd

I guess the dealer did not mention this "minor detail " it's like false advertising , why call the receiver Hd when it is not?

If you are going to get the board, it would benefit you greatly to point a dish at 129 ciel - (most) all the hd channels are there.

It is a HD receiver for true FTA , if your using it with third party software to get DN and Bev it needs the aditional board for their proprietary compresion ..

Here is your reply to the thread...Titled HD Channels on Dreamlink...

Its nothing at all to do with the box, the DL is just fine, the problem is with Fish tv, they took the money for the service and now they are not providing it. they are rip off artists, let them go home, put their children on their knees and tell the kids how proud a people they are. they have been screwing this service for ages now
I wish I never heard of them, I will be enclosing a small line on all my emails to warn folks not to buy their service.
