at zeta that they were comprimised and ALL NFPS codes will have to be changed


what would you rather have, all peeps go get this info at rookie?? or other FTA boards??

Due to the stolen information from our database, we have taken the right precautions and started to change the security in our payment system.

Sadly, I have to inform you that in the coming days we will be sending mails to all the clients informing them about the change on the current donations, there are no exceptions, all donations numbers will be changed. Our database has been totally compromised.

The new donation numbers will be 12 digits long.

The question is what kind of compromise?
Bottom line is info was posted as JCO mentioned and as far as I'm concerned has yet to be validated as to the extent. At least there was some sort of heads up to "something" and action is being taken.

Ok everyone knows I like reading between the lines and picking these kind of posts apart.

It seems I don't have to with this paragraph. I already have seen people worrying about how they are going to get their new codes and the fact they may have lost their donations. For some reason that sentence "Our database has been totally compromised." really bothers me. Especially when it follows a statement like " I have to inform you that in the coming days we will be sending mails to all the clients".

So what that translates to is they have a database with all your info that matches to your donation number and apparently someone else does as well. Since this doesn't apply to me I can only give my opinion on the situation but I would be more concerned over somebody else with my personal info and email than a few dollars I may have lost.

Maybe it would be a good idea to wait till things are more clear as to what they do.. Right now it seems that theres a lot of speculation on no concrete facts or actions from them..

I agree with what you said it`s the logical thing to do BUT I also think that NFPS should post to keep us informed as how they will handle this issue as there are hundreds of us that have bought from trusted re-sellers on this sight IMO
and many myself included have misgivings as to what will happen to there invested funds for a year subscription

- if i had alot of $$$ invested, id be worried
- if i had my CC as payment on file with them, id be even MORE worried
i suppose many more have thier reasons to be worried
me? i only lose a little $$ and no more worries

what realy and truly puzzles me, is this

when these girls (DT??) first started shop they always had a rep
who would log in @ aba to give peeps updates and try and answer
all concerned ESPECIALLY on "security" matters and what not

heck even when they started beta and then zeta he/she (nfps***) still
chimed in time to time...nowadays, as for the last yr or so, they ONLY communicate through
admin from (north location) and then is passed along to peeps at homesite...dont get me wrong, that works
for sum

BUT why is it we cant hear all that is going on through the horse's mouth ? like in the past
and in this case allow peeps to put him/her to task like many did in the past?

time will tell what gives but i truly would tread carefully now, even if nfps has had
a solid standing with their security, which is what they have ALWAYS, preached.

i only hope NO one (meaning, endusers) dont suffer any more than$$ from this, as a result

i know they seamed to always taunt DN with their heavy advertising and all that so, who knows

comprimesd or not im sure it wasnt down to dn or nag responsible or theyd be shutdown, one would think?
and satscums arent yet tooting any horns, so if its just some superhacker from russia? (which is where most are)
then really all they need is time to fix it and back to biz as usual, higher prices notwithstanding ,,,lol
