Hey guys,
so i just updated my old converted nano2 to ilink to a dreamlink hd. I have the 1000.2 dish with the dpp44 switch to the power inserter to the dreamlink. I setup all the server info and it connects fine but i refuses to find any signal. I have the green hd board if that makes a difference. I switch over to my nano 2 and i get signal at 75 and quality 95 on the exact same settings. I also brought my buddys actual Dish receiver and that works fine too. Im really confused as to why the dish and nano2 receivers work but not the dreamlink hd. On the dpp44 switch i have the power inserter connected to input 1 which goes all the way inside my house and connected to the receivers. im on the DL_HDpvr_114_1019 file. I tried to factory reset the DL and load the factory file, reset again, load the DL_HDpvr_114_1019 file, reset, enter all server settings and sat settings but the signal will not register at all.

first two pics are settings off my old nano 2 converted to ilink. I know theres an issue where sat 110 is actually locked to 119 but when i do the scans, both 110/119 do scan fine. last pics are of the dreamlink hd.

I had that happen once and whether it was installed wrong or just faulty it turned out to be the psk board itself. A red one but that shouldn't matter.

On the dreamlink when u go into menu/autoscan and chose the 129Sat then try each TP until you find the TP's that have a signal. If you dont see any signal then your SK200 8psk board is either bad or installed incorrectly. On the other hand if you get good signals on the functioning TP's, chose one with a strong signal and do an auto scan by pressing the red button. Do the same for 110 and 119.
Let us know your results.

it looks like it was a bad psk board. installed the sd board that came with the box and signal was picked up. replaced the psk board to the hd one and no signal again. put the sd board back on and scanned sats but now i keep getting scrambled for all channels. ahhh. :/

I don't recall but I think that the board that comes with the receiver is only for FTA use and will not pick up anything from Dish or Bev so your receiver is working properly. You need another 8psk module to see signal and channels.

USe TP 12516 on 129W to see if you have that satellite setup correctly, it is an SD transponder and is a CONUS beam.

Use TP 12457 for 119W it is a CONUS beam.

129 and 119 have a bunch of spot beams on them,(local areas only) so the CONUS beams are your best bet.

Also check your DIseqc switch settings, #1=119, #2= 110, #3 =129.

So not only did i have a bad psk hd board but apprently one of the wires from the sat to the dpp44 was bad. decided to replace all three and now im having locking issues. setup is as follows:

dish: 1000.2
dpp44
power inserter

left lnb (119) wire to input 1 on dpp44
middle lnb (110) wire to input 2 on dpp44
right lab (129) wire to input 3 on dpp44

sat:110
lnb power: on
lnb type: ocs-dp
lnb freq: 11.250
lnb 22 khz: off
Diseqc sw 1.0: 1 (when on this setting, i get red bars @ S:52/55 Q:20) if i switch to input 2 on tv, i get blue S:59/60 Q:50/52 locked on sat 119 west
diseqc sw 1.1: off
Legacy sw: off

sat:119
lnb power: on
lnb type: ocs-dp
lnb freq: 11.250
lnb 22 khz: off
Diseqc sw 1.0: 2 S:50 Q:40/42 blue bars locked on 119 west
diseqc sw 1.1: off
Legacy sw: off

sat:129 off since i have the sd board on there for now.
lnb power: on
lnb type: ocs-dp
lnb freq: 11.250
lnb 22 khz: off
Diseqc sw 1.0: 3
diseqc sw 1.1: off
Legacy sw: off

if i move the dish to the left then i can lock on 110 but then 119 also locks on 110. i cant get 110 to lock on 110 and 119 to lock on 119.

If you received the receiver with original board and did your own install did you remove a block from the 4 pins, if not you won't get a proper connection with your sk200 module.

yea did the instal and read v2 guide for the hd board install. removed 1 block but hd board wont pick up any signal from the sats. sd board picks up signal but cant lock sats correctly. ehh one of those days. :/

You have your LNB's in the incorrect order. The middle LNB should be for the 119 Sat. The left LNB, when lookinng from the back, is for 129. And the right LNB is for 110. When you are aiming the sat look for 119 and use the TP's from post #8. The method you are using to set up yur sats willnot work for all three sats.

PS I forgot to mention that Sat Ports to use with that dish are as follows : 119= port 1, 110=port2 and 129=port 3

The standard def board is not just for true fta, it does work on 110, 119 etc.

I dont think so as you need an 8 PSK module to decode Dish or Bev as they both require this decoder to view their video and it would be illegal to sell the unit with an 8psk module.

The s/d board will work just fine for any kind of reception except h/d obvoiusly..

ok so i got another psk board today and sure enough it picks up signal just fine.
i guess i explained my setup a bit confusing.

the lnb picture is how i connected the wires. left input was for sat 119 middle for 110 and right for 129.

and in the pick of the dpp44 switch, the black wire is for sat 110 the middle wire is 119 and the last white wire is 129.

is that correct or should it have been 119 for input 1 on the dpp44 and 110 for input 2 and 129 for input 3?

Your wrong.

As far as I know 119 should be for input 1, 110 for input 2 etc. Use the same port numbering in the receiver.
However from the dish picture you have the sats 110 and 129 reversed.

Well again I dont think so. After all, if you note, two people including yourself, caught my error and responded to correct me. So insted of your approach of deleting erroneous statements let them be corrected so everyone benefits and learns.

Hi syer 1,
I see that you have convert the Nano2 to Dreamlink HD. Do you have the upgrade files for this? Or do you have the information for doing the conversion. I have open my CNX Nano2 and I can't find a place the plug the SK200 8psk board so what do you do to get DN and BEV HD channels??
Would appreciate your help on this.
