new firmware commimg down the pipe. now showing up in the 722 series irds. whatever you do, do not take the firmware update or you box will go into a continous boot loop. seems dish has add some new timming to the firmware to prevent iks. so far no fix for the issue. hopefully one will become available before dish does a forced update to the irds.

Already several work-arounds:ird's hang/reboot on channels that are in your guide, but server doesn't have.Take out any channels/tiers that your server doesn't provide. If you're using fsec, adjust cw time. Also, firmware can be rolled back to previuos version, and flag the eeprom so it won't likely take the update. This is the method I used for 211's.This udate isn't the end of the world:that's Dec 21st.lol
On a side note, neither the 211's or 722's update has stopped iks as your title suggested. Many users with both models are still watching again after a little tweaking. The sky is not falling
i never said the sky was falling just a frendly reminder thoes who don't know about it. not to take an update. hell i'm still watching dtv fully open and folks say it's dead....NOT.

Does anyone know if only VIP receivers are affected?
What about 301 receivers, DVR-501 or DVR-510?
Also would RQ-Echo-Client be the best software to use for these older receivers?
