X-FTA troubles

I moved and I setup my computer system by using a laptop and connected to the internet from my wifi phone, but I can't seem to get my X-FTA dongle to setup I followed the instuction from my old internet system and it still won't work. Does anyone know if there is a different way to setup using a laptop .

have to set your comp to share the internet connection, under network settings
