when i try to force flash is still dont see the usb menu with rca or component cables. i can manuver around to get it to show FL20 and count down but then it goes to USB- and stays there. if i reboot it still doesnt show menu and it still shows old channels it did before with a black screen.

I've got one that blew a chip on the main board that the video went out. Display still shows and it will take a file load via usb, force load and null cable. All video is completely gone. I tried s-video, composite and component. May or may not be your friends problem but thought I would throw it out there. I'm still not sure why. Been about a year ago. Bought mine back in 2009 if memory serves me right.

I hate it for your friend but I'm kinda glad you posted on it. Since mine went the way of silicone on the barbie this is the first I seen of this happening. Thought it may have been something I done. May have been a bad or cheap round of chips on some of these units. I just picked one up one fleabay cheap with in the last week. Now if I can only cure the single yellow light syndrome on my iHub. lol Done it once before I just have to find the right combination to get it to re connect. I've got other stbs working but I just can't let this iHub beat me. lol
