a friend of mine found a DISHPRO PLUS lnb.......he is having trouble setting it up.....the ports on it are 1 then 2 then in.
we figured one reviever per port 1 or 2......not worried about the in port yet.
can you run that port 1 straight to the receiver? do you need a switch for it? he is having hard time finding a signal with it too i said the dish is off tilt.....he will corect that.....
but does this DISHPRO PLUS work like a regular lnb?

Found an LNB? Hummm if it was just lying around then it may be FUBAR.
It has an internal switch, receiver settings would be Diseqc 1 = 119W (or 91W*), Diseqc 2 = 110W (or 82W*). (* depending on what satellite's your looking at)
The receiver has to be set to OCS-DP* as the LNB type, (*or the equivalent for your receiver) 11250 for the LNB frequency.
The coax your using also has to be rated to 2.5 to 3 GHz or you may be missing some transponders.
Use TP 12457R to find 119W, it is a CONUS transponder, and has the Dish 101 channel on it.

thanks for the replies......so if he was going to use this one for 91/82 because 110 and 119 are already set up on a dish......would he run out of port 1 or 2 from the DISHPRO PLUS into his switch that already has 2 standard lnbs?.....to pick up all 4 sats?

Yes, use port #1* on the DPP LNB, but he has to set the Diseqc switch for #1 to on 91W and #2 to be on 82W.
*What type of switch does he have?
And this is on a second dish right?

Run 2 cables from DP lnb to diseqc, use ports 1 and 2.
