I was reading in another thread how certain STBs work best with the server info in the #1 position blank, and the info needed in the number #2 position.

I use NOI with a Solaris so I went into the multiple server settings and put the numeric IP in pos #1, the lower case in pos #2, and the upper case in pos #3.

Before this I had tried all 3 settings over the last month and had very bad freezing. Since this setup its been golden for 2 days now.

If you have bad freezing like I had, give it a try...

Seems to have settled down... stable again (at least for now).

when servers are acting stupid it is better to just use one.
and a 0 to the others port # so they won't try to connect.
i have read they recover faster using only 1 active server.

You mite have a point...

While it was bouncing around servers I tried killing NOI, restarting it, while rebooting the STB. That only got me stuck on server one as connected with countdown, but no pic or audio. Then I powered down and back up on the remote wich seemed to force NOI along to server 2 wich then took...

Seems stable again now...
