Dish 1000.2

I have been doing some reading and there seems to be a conflict of opinions, I have read that it is a must to have a power inserter or a dp301 connected to line 1 or you will fry jynx power supply. I have also read that someone contacted the jynxteam and they said it was not required. Which is it?

i had the jynx running fine with 1000.2,

it is best to have the power inserter or another old dn reciver on port 1 if you are useing a dish net lnb with the jynx box,JMO.
