I am suddenly experiencing a problem with pvr playback on my DLHD. I am recording onto a 1 tb external hard drive. I have had no problems until tonight. When I play back a recorded show, the audio comes on for a second, then goes out. If I adjust the volume with the remote, audio comes back for a second or two, then goes out again. The audio track is there, it is just not being played. Even shows I have already watched in their entirety with audio now no longer have it, except if I keep pushing the volume on the remote. I'm using the hdmi port. Anyone else have any experience like this?

I am having the same issue. I did a few tests and just found out in my case, If you have bad or no signal, you will have this problem.
I guess when you have Bad or No signal, the receiver is constantly looking for the signal. This is something that may be corrected by a new bin, I don't know, but we can suggest it.

My signal is fine (85/80). It's interesting....that when you have low signal your pvr functioning is affected. I suspect that, and my issue, can be fixed in an upcoming bin. It's too bad I have lost the capability to watch recorded programs, though, until then...

Have you gone into menu, manual scan, and changed the transmission to Turbo 8PSK ,also I find that periodicaly I have to format my hdd via computer when audio and video becomes choppy on playback, hope this helps.....

Realize that this happens when playing back recorded shows. I have no audio problems with the stb itself. It is only on pvr playback that I have audio issues.....
Happened once to me too. I couldn't get volume. If I'd press down on the volume button it would come back in for a second then go out again.
I had my RG6 cable unhooked at the time. When I reconnected it, the volume came back. Strange but the other post confirmed this.
