Nfusion HD acting funny

So my neighbour pulled out his 2 Nfusion HD's out of the closet to re-test with them after a year and they are doing some strange things.

The remotes seem to only work every now and then and for some reason it is not picking up his signal and quality from his dishes.

If he hooks his Nano Premium up everything works fine.

He has put in the 27r bin file and the 27r transponder file.

Anyone got any ideas of what he can try?

Maybe try the 25r bin and that might solve the problem? or perhaps a new factory file is required?

Like I say, these have been in the closet for over a year so they might be outdated.

Not outdated! Are you running N.O.I. program and did you add 210.51.47.147 255.0.0.0 to your network, local area settings!

He has not even gotten to that stage. The remotes being hardly working with new batteries and not getting any signal or quality is where he is stuck.

did he remember to install the jumper on the back of the receiver if the 8psk card is installed?

He said he has installed the jumper cable from the 8psk module to the IF out port which is below the LNB in port.

I believe he has it setup correctly, unless the 8psk modules have crapped out.

I can also confirm that these units both worked when they were put away.

With both boxes acting funny I am leaning more towards there being something wrong with the bins or firmwares of the boxes.

Would anyone suggest he try 25r instead of 27r?

Factory reset and apply bin again

He has factory defaulted and re-applied the bin. It's kinda hard for him to apply the bins when the remote works only randomly and the green button to apply the bin doesn't work LOL

try a factory bin..start over if possible.
see how remote works with fresh factory file loaded.

Are people using the factory bin 1.016 found in the files section?

I wonder if the switch is not compatible with the Nfusion HD where it is with the Nano Premium>?
