Gentlemen please feel free to post your comments that could develop the next bin. Or the features available for this receiver and currently its missing.


1. I wish the epg screen should be completely changed. I can only read the current program's info fully. And the rest is partial only.

2. Able to move channels.


I hope the coders would read this thread and make it happen.

Hopefully the new factory file is the foot in the door step, from what i have been reading 1.16 was a great release, so we will have to see, the number one thing recommend by users is being able to see future information via the EPG, my neighbor says that if the dreamteam were to address this, this box would be up with the old elites. You are able to move channels brother, just not without being snagged with the EPG mis information glitch. I say kudos to the DL team for supporting there box after a year and a quarter and i look forward to there future releases

I don't think they are to worried about sales as they are on there 4th shipment of receivers, previous versions selling out. As to dishusers comment I will ask my neighbor if he has tried out 1.17 yet from what i have read though if it only address the sd module that comes with the receiver and he has already replaced it with another module would it not defeat the purpose of loading the new file. As per the notes it does not address anything else?

- Way to search channels.. (lemme know if it is there).. There are some redundant colored buttons on remote. One should be mapped to search button.. ie press that and start typing channel name. It is there in sonicview.

- Easy way to add channels in Fav... Sonicview had red button doing that i.e. choose fav list and press red button.. current channel is added

- Able to add selected sats to favs.. so that we just need to toggle those only..

- quick way to change video mode.. 16:9 --LBX -- stretch etc etc via remote .. yellow button maybe

- for sure better EPG.. smaller font (8channels / page) and 4-6 hrs width

- multi channels via back / previous button.. at times it is good to move shuffle between more than 2 channels..

- setup should be easy.. entering server info into blanks and unable to verify its correctness is weird .. it is one time setup but still annoying as it takes much more time.

Let me know if any of these are available.. I started using DL-HD 2 weeks back and felt its User Interface (UI) can be made much smoother.. this box has huge potential but not that user friendly...

In short, developers / coders should look at sonicview box, their guide, menu options and learn from them..

When do a factory reset keep antena settings like server settings.

Instant timer by pressing REC button more one time.

reslove pvr bugs. it doesn't record more than one program when the receiver set to multiple timer recordings.

When EPG is fully loaded receiver responds to the remote slowly. Solve it.

I would like to see the signal and quality bars show the true strength all of the time.

When watching a channel and you want to see what is playing on another channel I just want to see the info without changing to the channel.

The receiver is actually pretty awesome. But I like this thread!

My suggestion is: the Dreamlink could save the EPG on the HDD. It will avoid to reload it each time when you power it on.

I really wish the dreamlink team can fit more than just 4 columns of channels when you press epg. Id love to see an update where they fit around 8 channels on the epg so its more in depth. Epg is great right now with all the fixes but just wish i could see more channels on that epg.
