Hello gang, I want to change my notebook Acer aspire one from Vista to XP, this model came with Vista Basic the acer aspire one that came with XP is different then this one and I don't know if this can be done or not, thanks in advance Turbo

You can do a dual boot setup, then all you do is select XP when it boots up.
Changing it over to just XP would require a format of the hard drive, but in doing that you would loose all the drivers for the hardware and motherboard chip set's.
Without those it would be useless, and I don't think the older XP version would cover all the newer chips and hardware for that notebook.
Here is a step by step guide to do the Vista/XP dual setup.....Doing it this way you don't loose the drivers.

or download all the needed drivers and put them on usb stick
then format
did that with several acer and dell laptops

download the network drivers and download slimdrivers make sure you running XP SP3.

Thanks guys, I have this option but also was thinking on adding hubuntu, I remember DU answering that thread but I am not sure yet because I found some reports that my Acer is not compatible with latest hubuntu I would have to use a little older versions, I'll study the link provided here and think about it, thanks guys Turbo

if you don't think it is compatible download Ubuntu burn it to a DVD then boot off it as a live CD. play around with it and if you don't like it take the disk out and your computer will be unchanged.
