sw44 needs 2 lines from each lnb.
Most fta receivers can be used with sw44 switches. What settings are you using on your viewsat?

The SW44 is a "Legacy" switch, you may need to select some sort of legacy switch in your settings for your FTA receiver.
A legacy switch uses +14 and +18 volts to switch between the transponders,(thus two lines to each LNB) then uses Diseqc commands to switch between satellites.
Diseqc #1 for 91**, Diseqc #2 for 82**, with a legacy SW44 switch selected.
**This is only if 91 is the first satellite LNB connected to the "1A and 1B" satellite inputs on the switch.
I think on vs receivers there's an option for dish 1 and dish 2 when using sw44.

The only thing I can think of is that the 3rd output on the switch is fried, try moving the coax to the #4 port on the switch.
The following diagram is for a 110/119 setup but it should be the same for 82/91, it will tell you if something is connected wrong.

What are the settings you're using for the 82 satellite?
Perhaps you need to do a blindscan, or smartscan to pick up the 82 sat.

Try connecting 1 wire from the 82 LNB directly to the VS and check all the TP listed in the VS if all give or show quality, check with Lyngsat the TP freq and compare to the VS's TP list, maybe freq change a bit and that is why no quality on 82.
Once you connect 1 wire from 82 LNB to VS no switches nothing in between try a Sat Scan or Blind Scan, I never tested VS so no clue if they have Blind Scan feature, or if the TPs freq are not the same enter new freq Manually.

Blind scan does not work properly with VS boxes ...........only use 'Auto Scan'

it was over a year ago with VS MaxHD.
Had the similar problems locking in 91 & 82 from Bev installed dish.
After hours just gave up and installed new dish running 82, 91, 110 & 119 directly to diseqc.
Since then we moved and have no interest in Bev so can't test or check any settings for you

....FINAL UPDATE: Apparently the VS 9000HD thinks Ciel 2 (129W) is Nimiq 4 (82). as when I channel scanned ciel 2 using the lnb settings for 82....all the 82 channels poped up...ya my channel numbers are screwed, but at least it works now.
Glad you got it working. May sound stupid, but did you check the settings as Terryl showed?
"Diseqc #1 for 91**, Diseqc #2 for 82**, with a legacy SW44 switch selected."
My guess is that your setup is Ciel 2 to be Diseqc #2 so that completely took over Nimiq 4. What is your settings on your 9000HD for Ciel 2 and Nimiq 4?
The 9000HD should not have a problem with Nimiq sats.

It should in theory be simply SW44 port 1 for 91...SW44 port 2 for 82...as that is how it was with the bell 6131 HD receivers...no issues at all.
I just pulled out an old viewsat platinum from the closet to see what the settings should be. You should use this:
Satellite 91 82
LNB Power on on
LNB Type standard standard
LNB Freq 11250 11250
22 KHz off off
DiSEqC 1.0 none none
Motor off off
Legacy switch SW44 Dish1 SW44 Dish2
Sorry about the formatting

I don't know if this will help you, I been following this thread very close as I was trying all same thing for weeks, got 82 in good,, got 91,, in but then when it was to be seen on my dreamlink it only see 1 beam,,,
"Well I got it now" In my case, set my skew and A to what the google pointer said,, using the dish 500 with the duel single beams, I set my "82"=110 1st", "I know I was to do 91 1st but no good for me,, I tried it" check 91=119 well was not in,, "I don't know why"
was about to walk away and just for the hell of it I took the "Dishnet 91 beam out",, just playing around, I put a DTV beam in it place I'll be Damn MY Birddog the signel POP RIGHT IN,, I don't know why it did,,,,
my setting using dish 500 with a "Y"
82=110---- using a dishnet single beam on,,, port-2 of the switch,,
91=119-----using a DTV single beam on,, port-1 of the switch,
I hope this can help you,, or maybe some body can explain how this happen good for me,, also that beem I took out of that 119=91 spot I use it else ware so that beam good,,

I read a lot more last night about this issue. Viewsat 9000 and Max HD do not like the SW44 switches. Some people have got it to work using SW42 dish1 and SW42 dish2. But it seems some have to power off receiver with remote to get the receiver to switch satellites. Probably a hardware/software issue that never got fixed.
I never read about an issue with dishpro lnb's. It may well be worth it to get a used DP quad lnb or a DP twin with a DP34 switch.
Good Luck, Alecky
