dude, you have no clue,
when they get a court judgement against you they will freeze your bank account, take every last penny from it, if that does not cover the amount, they will take your assets, if that doesn't cover the amount, they will take your paychecks directly from your employer, or any other source of income you have (government issued checks) until its paid off....
they WILL GET THEIR MONEY, unless you are somebody who has no assets, no bank account, and no formal/taxable income, who could possibly live the rest of their lives like that? a homeless person i guess,
a judgement like this can, and will, destroy your entire life for many years to come....people may act all tough and care free, before hand, but just wait till that hammer falls, then they turn into crying babies,
winning a judgement and collecting are 2 different ball games
have YOU ever been through it> i have and let me tell ya,,its almost
impossible to get blood form a stone,,,do YOU really think most dudes
in this game are all in a financial position, contributing to society, paying taxes
dik knows very well most are living on the edge and are on some kind of

I have seen only 2 cases in the list where D!5H has pursued "Writs" to collect judgments. one is Ech0 V Steele. He has like 5 vehicles.
It aint like the S0nicview case, they are turning every rock over collecting that judgement.
Still only 9 Wuf cases. Not sure why, (possibly because they don't have server logs?) I would have expected a lot more, but still a lot of time left on the statute of limitations.

I think the "We will seize your cars, trucks, motorcycles, R/V's, snowmobiles, wife, kids, dog and cigarettes"....depends on what state you live in. Not every state allows that B.S.
They aren't the damn IRS folks....they are only DN/Nagra. Some of you people talk like they are God. At least that one guy did that isn't with us anymore. ;)

*Getting a judgment is only the beginning in a collection process. The losing party rarely writes a check at the courthouse. The more usual scenario finds the winner continuing to use the judicial system to enforce a judgment.

I am afraid the, of late joeblow, is the one having no clue.
"When they get a court judgement against you" simply means that they can then ask the court to issue a writ, of which can name different tacks, one writ for each, and then given to a law enforcement entity for execution...At a cost for each, of course. Every step beyond the court requires $.
Before doing this, however, they would need to have the court call in the defendant on what's known as an "Orap" (order of appearance of a judgment debtor), so that his/her assets can be verified. After all, how can they seize his car, for example, without knowing what make, model, license plate, and where it's kept? Oh yes, and assuming they do go through with this, they are the ones who have to pay for towing and storage, and if there are monthly car payments, they have to be sure the payments are made, or the lender can then seize the car. Now of course once liquidated, they could go through more legal paperwork to tack on all of these expenses they've incurred. Would it be a safe bet that they most likely won't go this route?
Now what about his bank account? Once he's been in court and given the information, that or the next day he simply closes the account(s) and opens new ones at another bank. No law against that.
I don't believe Social Security payments can be garnished. Not sure about any other form of government income, such as disability, however.
How about garnishing his wages? This is really the only viable way, and then only if he has a steady employer. Wages can be garnished for up to 25% of monthly gross pay, but there's a caveat here; if they are already being garnished, this judgment creditor has to wait until the previous garnishment amount is satisfied, before his can be activated.
Don't ask me how I know all this. Getting the judgment is the easy half of the equation. Collecting on it is the trick.

its very simple,,,the winner HAS to go to court EVERY single time they want
to effect a garnishment and apply to the courts to approve an amount
that is done for every time they want to collect through the courts, on the very same judgement
cuz they cant get it in one lump sum
only other way is sell the debt to collections and then THAT is where they basically
GIVE UP cuz most times collection agencies dont get SQUAT IF one knows how to play
about the ONLY neg there, would be your rating,,,anyone care?? hell ive gotten lines of credit
with one bad debt on file many times ,,,so freaking what,,,so long as DIK gets ZERO??

There are Fed exemptions, and others that vary state to state. Here is a good example of Fed and Illinois exemptions.
Money and Property that Cannot Be Taken to Satisfy a Judgment
Illinois and Federal laws place limits on the collection of a judgment. Exempt money or property cannot be taken from your client for payment of a debt. Your client can be sued and a judgment entered against them, but if their money or property comes from any of the sources listed below, that money or property cannot legally be taken from them to pay the judgment.
Tell the judge or creditor’s attorney that your client's income or property is exempt. However, keep in mind that if your client previously agreed in court to make payments, they may have given up your exemption rights.
Exemptions may not apply to debts owed for taxes, child support, alimony or fines.
List of Exemptions
Personal Property Exemptions
For each family member, necessary clothing, a bible, school books, and family pictures;
One motor vehicle in which interest does not exceed $2,400;
Wildcard Exemption: The exemption is $4,000 worth of property, including money in a bank account. The Wildcard Exemption is a stackable exemption. For example, you can add your wildcard exemption of $4,000 to your car exemption and have a car worth $2,400;
$1,500 worth of implements, professional books or tools for a trade;
Health aids prescribed by a physician;
Money from the sale of exempt property. HOWEVER, the property is not exempt if the property was purchased with the intent of converting non-exempt property into exempt property or with the intent to defraud creditors.
Homestead Exemption: $15,000 of equity in a house, mobile home, condominium, building or lot of land occupied as a residence by the debtor is exempt. Each couple who jointly owns a home would have a $30,000 homestead exemption since each could exempt $15,000.
Income Exemptions
Public Aid and General Assistance:
Aid to the Aged, Blind or Disabled (AABD)
Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TANF)
General Assistance (GA)
Social Security
Supplemental Security Income
Veteran's Administration Benefits (all V.A. benefits are exempt, except benefits subject to specific claims by the United States government)
Worker's Compensation
Black Lung Benefits
Unemployment Compensation
Alimony, Support and Maintenance (exempt only to the extent that they are needed for personal support and the support of dependents)
Pension (exempt only to the extent that they are needed for personal support and the support of dependents)
Payments
The following payments are exempt:
Crime Victim's Award
Wrongful Death Award or Life Insurance payments of a person on whom you are dependent to the extent reasonably necessary for your support
Payment of up to $7,500 for personal injury to you or your dependent
85% of Gross Weekly Wages
Wages cannot be garnished unless take home pay after taxes is more than $371.25 per week (45 times the minimum wage). If take home pay is more than $371.25, the most that can be garnished is 15% of weekly gross pay.

note, this also appllies to the IRS so for those who think DN has so much powers?? think again
and we havent even touched on "exemption of seizures" which are pretty similar and where ONLY
Gov. entities like the IRS have powers to effect
and for sure You NEVER agree on a payment schedule or amount of any kind,,,that will

in addition,,
Prperty liens vary from state to state and texas is very strict on these exemptions
Exempt Assets
Certain benefits you receive and assets you hold are exempt from commercial creditors, even if the creditor in question has a court judgment against you. Social Security, unemployment and child support are just a few examples of income that a collection agency can neither intercept nor withdraw from your bank account without your permission. Certain assets you hold, such as your 401k plan, are also exempt from seizure by a collection agency
for sure opinions differ
anyways,,will be something for some of us to watch as this dn crap unfolds

This is fact. I have a 6 figure judgement in favor of my company, it aint easy to collect.
I collected once with for a small amount when my lawyer garnished wages from the defendant. You really have to try to verify your attorney is aggressive at trying to collect. Usually you never end up at trial if as a plaintiff you have a strong position. The defendant defaults and puts his efforts in trying to make sure you don't collect. It really can be frustrating if your a plaintiff because there are too many ways people can escape judgment. I have a strong case against someone. Went to serve him but he had disappeared from last known location. Just located new address after months and going to try again. I had to become my own investigator to find him.

LOL...... I'm thinking back to a long ago memory when after reading a Playboy article on what happens when you default on credit cards I decided to follow thru on the same scenario to conclusion ...... this included going to the local legal aid society office who drafted & notarized a homestead exemption deed. At the time in late '70's you could exempt $3500 worth of personal property. After being served by sheriffs deputy, (ignored the first summons taped to door) found him to be ok, said it was one aspect of job he didn't like and inventoried apt. furniture, tv's quickly ......we agreed on date/time of sheriffs sale, ........He mentioned it would be listed at courthouse, that a bank representative possibly other buyers might show up. (As I had ample time to prepare I had stashed my guns, record collection, stero, etc. with my brother) The morning of the sale only the sheriff, the bank repA*****E, & one other old guy actually show up. So the sheriff is gonna start but the bank dik asks for a few mins ........then proceeded to knock on the doors of neighboring apartments to inform them of sheriffs sale in my apartment. Dumb....... only 1 was home & when she saw it was me slammed the door in his face. lol ....... So in a final act of desperation to embarrass me he went to the rental office & persuaded a couple of ladies to venture into my apt. for all of 30 sec. They left just as the sheriff commenced the sale informing me I could bid also. Although I had several tvs I had disabled the pic by removing a fuse thinking they wouldn't be worth anything .........DUMB on my part. Apparenty thats what that one guy did. Buy tv's at $5 a pop that didn't work/were disabled on purpose. As for the the bank prik I semi-got revenge at the end. After he had bought all of my well used furniture, lamps, end tables, etc. for a lot more than I would of paid (sheriff would constantly remind bank douche he wouldn't give stuff away). He asked the sheriff if he could leave the furniture in my apt. for a few hours while he went to get a truck & help to retrieve furniture. The sheriff turned to me with a grin an said Mr. ********** do you want to let him store his purchases here for a few hours? TELL HIM TO GET THIS **** OUT OF HERE NOW. I responded. The sheriff then informed the bank arse he had 20 min. to remove the furniture or risk forfiture on the spot. LOL . He ended up paying the tv guy to help him move the stuff . lol

Nothing malicious, no cracking or anything shady I'll simply register two nicks and you have 48 hours to find out which two nicks are me. In fact I'll even tell you one of 'em. ;)
See the beauty of VB is you can go to their forum and read up on how their plugins work even if you are a non-vbulletin subscriber:
If they clear their cookies or use another computer then you wont know. People using dial up are a pain, and those who have more than one ISP.
It uses a simple cookie; not any kind of technology to determine who is actually sitting in front of the computer when it is being used.
I had a mod on a cracking board tell me he could catch me too. There are only four ways to pin an account to someone:
Username
Email
i.p.
Cookies
If none of those four instances are caught i.e. you can literally change three of the four and clear the fourth completely....then there is no way to catch someone.

alex alex alex, the fact you bring up that AE detector would indicate thinking I was one of the banned when nothing could be further from the truth, I make one comment towards those banned and it's off to the races thinking it's me ....lol
am I reading that right ? I've made no bones letting you know a few of my alt nics in the past and have never lied to you, now go find Waldo
LMFAO HL, lol, it is not always about you. I was referring to Joe.

Sure I'll take that bet....in fact you got a forum right dedicated to RJ? Are you running AE Detector on there? Shoot me the URL in PM and I'll show you how easy it is to get around.
I had a mod on a cracking board tell me he could catch me too. There are only four ways to pin an account to someone:
Username
Email
i.p.
Cookies
If none of those four instances are caught i.e. you can literally change three of the four and clear the fourth completely....then there is no way to catch someone.
Well I'm more of a 'God' when it comes to anonymity and getting around it but....ROFLMAO.
LOL Not going to screw with the RJ site, but we can talk about this privately. There is always a way to beat everything, but you know this. Most people dont even know how to find their cookies, much less edit hex (That is where it gets fun, spoofing the AE detector to think you are a member of staff lol). Anyway, back to your regular scheduled programming :D

Oh I see you don't have access to the 'visiting' room....
Look at the links the names are definitely different But is it a code for S
anyone explain how
Yup the idiot used Unicode and apparently thought nobody would figure it out.
http://www.utf8-chartable.de/unicode-utf8-table.pl?start=1024
Here is the code he used:
U+0455 ѕ d1 95 CYRILLIC SMALL LETTER DZE
I knew it was a code by reading on the VB help boards and originally thought ASCII. You guys have ASCII blocked but apparently not Unicode.
I also know that he surfed from
http://coverproxy.com as well. He didn't cover his tracks very well.
This is a snippet of a conversation I had with upper management concerning the 'situation'. I also know what board he was from since there is only one board that has my birth date visible. I won't make you privy to the rest of the conversation but did you notice the registering and posting stopped?
Got any more questions about what I know or don't know?
I didn't think so....
P.S. Since you are apparently familiar with the situation you can also tell the individual that I cracked into the Yahoo account he set up by guessing his 'uncles' name. Not too smart to mess with those that have more knowledge then you do is what I always say. ;)

Rotten says there's a VB hack for MAC addy. However MAC addy can easily be spoofed.
A-2
There can't be....
The MAC of your computer/modem/router is never transmitted as far as a website. Only the MAC of the last hop is forwarded on to the website. Its done this way for troubleshooting purposes on the network. So its easier to tell at what 'hop' a packet is being dropped without tracing the traffic all the way back to the originating gateway. They'll see the MAC of their border router. MAC's stop transmission at Level 2 of the OSI model.
So good luck with that 'hack'. It ain't gonna tell you much. ;)

*EDIT* Didn't work anyhow. I checked it on my password. I think its MD5 then basically the MD5 hash with salt included within the MD5 hash. Its confusing on how its compiled and not really what I specialize in. I'd have to ask some buddies on one of the boards.

Someone on staff thought it would be funny apparently. That nick was banned so as far as I know no one from outside the cpanel could 'log' into it....so the login had to have originated from someone here on staff.
Nope, no one from staff did it so your first "guess" was wrong.
Strange though that that nick was joined up some 50 registrars after me

Like I said....is the posting and registering still going on?
Its a simple yes or no answer.
Who eventually figured it out? I took it for granite that they had ASCII and Unicode blocked on here or I would have known right away. That was the reason it led me to believe it was staff as they would be the only ones that could resurrect a banned nick. I was banned from here some time ago.
Lets not let this go sideways and turn into a p!ssing match. Since I can see you are wanting to feel 'superior'....I'll go ahead and be the bigger man (I am anyways) and walk away from this thread now.

Eh Rotten's an OK guy I'm sure if you presented the question respectfully to him he wouldn't have a problem with you questioning it.
Basically the only 'device' that can see your MAC address is the next device in the path on the way to your destination. So in other words your ISP would see your MAC as you connect to any website....but even they only see your 'last' MAC so they would see your router MAC if you are behind one. They don't see your computer MAC ever. Then as your traffic passes through their (meaning the ISP'S) router and is forwarded to the next 'hop' or router.....that MAC is inserted in the packet and forwarded on and so on and so forth....until your packet reaches its final destination.
The packet will contain the MAC of the last device through which it passed when it arrives at the website. Every router builds a table of all connected devices and forwards the packet based on that table. Your i.p. remains constant through the entire packet travel but your MAC does not it will be swapped out at each 'hop' or router.

This is a court case against a end user by the name of KAILAS MAGI. Not wuffman.
It clearly states that the said defendant purchased codes from wuff in page one.
Guess Nagra are going after those that are ignoring their letters after all.
well, NAG has NOTHING to do with these cases, right??
dont NAG have their own attorneys? and DN theirs?
these letters are for iks connections why would NAG be involved??
if they had their cards compromised BUT to say they get involved with iks codes as
though the security of their cards has been comprinised is well, HOGWASH
this has been a misnomer for much too long and posts by so called JJee

all to do with "scare mongering" ,,,nothing more nothing less
fact is, they could care less about IKS connectivity THATS DN's PROB
funny this thread has been though and for those who doubt me,,,
get a hold of NAG and find out for urselves what lawyers represent whom,,,
even IF their (dn's) "extortion" letters leads one to believe otherwise
they are 2 seperate entities
IF NAG was involved? youd see many more
of these tactics BUT with MUCH more SEVERE consequences/penalties

this is why i suggest getting a lawyer regardless,
let a lawyer settle this for you, even if you are paying the settlement fee, you need a lawyer to get a legal document written for you in return for your settlement fee that states you can no longer be sued for this in the future,

I was thinking along the lines of double jeopardy but that only applies in criminal cases. So the term you are after is: res judicata which loosely translated means 'already adjudicated' but I don't know how it applies to matters of the same wrong doing or matters of accusation alleging different wrong doing. You'll need an attorney to sort that out but that is the term you are looking for.

It is an interesting question. Of all the non-DA letters that have gone out, only 11 have made it to court in the US.

I recently got a letter too, with the "evidence" listed against me I noticed that the two different IP address' listed are not mine, when I look them up it shows they come from Amsterdam. I bought from wuf, and it shows my old user ID from here and my email. Best to consult a lawyer. Not to be negative and hope my opinion is wrong but I personally don't think the IPs to Amsterdam changes much if the evidence they have showed you subscribed/purchased to the service other than they will say/suggest you used a proxy from Amsterdam to try to hide your true IP identity but a lawyer could say different. Why would anyone from Amsterdam being using the service. ?

I was just curious. The only thing they have from here is what Wuff gave them. The more incriminating thing was the re-seller control panel at eltwenty. com. Which is now papio. The reason I asked about ABA, is they have the complete db and our using that to corroborate other info.

I can only tell you about the US. There have been exactly 11 cases filed (due to wuff). I thought it was in this thread, but I may be mistaken.

The IP is the server and all they need is that you purchased a code , If you do nothing taking a chance they will file against you and they will no doubt only cost $400.o to file against you. Wuf really screwd a lot of folks. The only real choice is to settle a lawyer will tell you same thing. It will cost way more to defend. Good luck. From what I've read they'll take payments als Hagen and boys.

I've read a few folks had success with making a payment plan, have any details been posted about what cost per month, how long, etc.? I just had a kid and this was all from some crap my neighbor talked me into doing with him. I don't even mess with this anymore, I got to figure something out. I've only got like $600 to my name right now

not trying to rub salt into your wounds, but you knew what you were doing was illegal
with any type of illegal activity there could be very serious consequences
your neighbor might have suggested this to you, but it was still your decision to act upon it
if my neighbor suggested that i rob the corner store with him, i would say no in fear of being caught, understand?
your cheapest route will be to consult a lawyer, get the lawyer to work out a payment plan for you with hagen, DO NOT contact them yourself, do not ignore it, it will only get worse from this day on,
solve the small problem, before it turns into a nightmare,
ignoring this will totally F your life up for many years to come
good luck to you,

It is an interesting question. Of all the non-DA letters that have gone out, only 11 have made it to court in the US.
Do you know what's the out come from the court? Did any body represent himself to avoid layers fee. May be the judge will say not enough prove.
What just a donation that have your real name but all the other crap is not you

yes i believe one person was foolish enough to represent themselves in court, and they got raped, so to speak
they tried to give a sob story about being broke which did them no good, i believe they were slapped with a 10,000 judgement plus court fees and DN lawyer fees, would have been better to pay the damn 3,500
maybe somebody else can verify this

Actually admitting the fact that he was "broke" is probably what sank his ship. There would be no reason to mention that fact as it has no bearing on whether you actually used the code. The very statement "I was broke" implies that you used the code but are trying to say you used it for a "good" cause. Courts don't view crimes that way. A crime is a crime is a crime in the courts eyes. He admitted guilt when he said "I was broke". That is what sunk him. Its not that it can't be beat you just can't be an idiot in court. Sorry to the guy that represented himself in that manner if he's reading this but damn use your head.

why would anyone watch ufc or ppv wrestling? And the movies?--mostly junk. Don't even know what a sub pack is--not sure why anyone would want it either. So your thousands of dollar bill looks to have evaporated to a basic sub for me--and I don't even like a basic sub's channel lineup, so true FTA works for me.

People, people...can't you see the writing on the wall?
The game is almost up
You're better off to go the legal route...no headaches..no freezing
you want PPV, UFC......get it off the net..
Google XBMC...it'll give you everything you need for movies etc.
I've tried everything out there since mid 80's....Time to just watch Tv
Got legal subs to directv HD...group plan that is
And some other providers..
Most people don't even watch Tv...they just love the thrill of the chase
But, according to these posts...the chase is getting costly

I agree,100%.Game is all but over, and hardly worth playing. All you stand to gain is reduced cost t.v. programming, which is disinteresting at best, and all you have to lose is a GREAT deal of money. Not worth it anymore.Hobby turned a bad corner with N3.I gave up on iks completely, simply because it was no fun.I watch HD OTA mostly, cable for some other stuff I can't get ota, and lots of bluray.Happy as I can be.
Sorry for the thread jack.Good luck to all that get the letters, but if i got one, I would just pay the 3500.00 and bow out.If you've been doing this for 10 or so years, as many have, you've probably saved about 10K in programming fees:the 3500.00 is still a deal.
P.S...just got "The Great Escape" 50 year anniversary edition bluray via Amazon today...gonna watch it tonight. Can't get a letter over that.
The game cycles on and off. I read the game was over when there was no hack for VC2+ over 15 years ago and than so on. If something new comes along the game will restart.
As far as it being worth it. Most times its not really when you add anything you end up paying with all the disruptions plus the legal concern that most don't think of at the time but its a game and the game is getting it without paying the provider for it whether you paid for other things anyway. The game includes the excitement of beating the system so to speak. I am in no way advocating it but as long as there is some way to avoid provider payment there will be a game. If people put it out there people will play.

I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything but when you know what I know about networking and staying anonymous on the 'net its a no win situation to be using IKS. Like I said sure there are ways to beat the system but its a gamble and not one that your run of the mill FTA'er knows about usually.

We started at the beginning....followed it through, to end up here
When I was younger..I enjoyed the "chase"...spent my whole life at the computer...learning., experimenting..
Now, there's nothing left to learn...you're at the mercy of iks providers..
The quality of the product has degraded to the point where I'm sure it would be stressful to watch
Now, no energy or enthusiasm....Just wanna watch TV

Gunsmoke, I agree..but the VC2+ was never hacked
and as for something new coming out...I think the numbers who would follow into new territory has dwindled to a small fraction
of what it used to be..
You can tell by the posts that the ones that are mostly into IKS are used to being spoonfed..no offense
Give them a "hack" where they would actually have to learn and modify something on their own... ain't gonna happen.
The "old school" end users have mostly moved on.

I think it runs deeper than that though. I see a lot people on these forums that have no idea what a proxy is or how to use it or what kind to use or how to use a VPN or how to set up an anonymous email or that Paypal is not safe. So I think in all honestly a lot of these people are being mislead by the dealers, resellers and those trying to push IKS for a monetary gain. For me its basically about having the knowledge that I know I am not bullet proof. I don't trust my online anonymity to anyone but myself. A lot of these people will put trust in others that they hardly know or don't know at all in some cases.
I just took an ICND I class for Cisco training and I was amazed at some of the questions that popped up. Like this one guy who did loss prevention work for a retail company asking if he used his Blackberry to check email and surf at work on the LAN could they spy on him? Its like "Duh yeah of course they can". Now this is a guy who's studying to be a network administrator and he didn't know something as basic as this? And this is a second year class IMO he should have this knowledge as a prerequisite to entering that class.
So in closing I think a lot of people in the IKS game are basically in over their heads and have no real idea how to protect themselves online.

Well, the point I was trying to make with my post was that you can not assume that folks watch what you would watch with a hack--assuming that they do is called "having a bias" and judges for these type of cases should not have a bias. They should not assume that just having the code to do IKS is proof of using them to get thousands of dollars of programming--they have to judge the case on the evidence. And evidence of having the codes is not evidence of substantial wrong doing.

well you should well know that this is a civil suit and not a criminal case and in these proceedings you need a preponderance of the evidence and not definitive proof. Basically, they are based on assumption. So in reality all a judge does in these cases is add 2 +2 and if the result is 4 then you are guilty. may not be fair but you can blame that on the guys who wrote the law. Possession of the code is illegal in the eyes of the court. It is like getting busted with a bag of weed, you might not even smoke dope and be holding it for a friend but if you get caught you are guilty simply by association as you are evidently up to no good. Dope is criminal and harder to prove so that is why they make possession itself a crime.
alex70olds
06-04-2013, 05:26 PM
Agreed....time & time again civil versus criminal proceedings are confused. They are not the same.Having purchased the codes is enough to get it done against you.

well if they can show you had possession of the code that is all they need, paypal records can verify that and internet provider logs can confirm use. They wouldn't need any more than that. Now what would be interesting is if somebody decided to fight it and brought a fta box to court with them and challenged them to prove it connected to an IKS server. By the time most of these things show up on the docket the code would be expired. Now granted internet provider logs might still show otherwise but it might be enough for a bored judge to toss it out of court and set a precedent by doing so LOL
