Explosions strike hotels in popular area along the Tigris River

BAGHDAD - At least 11 people were killed after three large blasts struck a popular hotel and restaurant district along the Tigris River in Baghdad on Monday, Iraqi police said.
The first blast struck at about 3:40 p.m., rocking buildings along Abu Nawas Street across from the Green Zone.
One blast occurred near the Babylon Hotel, the second near the Sheraton, and the third at the entrance of the Al Hamra Hotel, NBC News reported.
