i have a limesat hd air, it i can not get the box to come on useing the switch at the back , i think the switch is gone . i have a old limesat ultra can i replace the switch with that one,, hope its not the board 2 years old

I would test the switch first.

To do this you need an ohm meter. (or DVM)

With the units power cord unplugged from the wall you can check the switch with the DVM set to "OHMS", the switch will show zero ohms (or a few ohms) when on, and megohms (open) when off.

If the switch tests good then you could have blown a fuse on the power supply board, we would need a good high quality photo of your power supply to tell where this is located. (unless someone here knows)

I've had the same happen to mine, seems that they have an overheating problem. At first I'd unplug the unit from everything leave it for a few ours then hook it up again and that would work. You might have to turn it off and on a few times beofre it comes on.
I've since put a power board and switch from another FTA unit and that seems to help. I still have it power off sometimes so need to let it cool. I would also get a laptop cooling fan to go under your Limesat as that will help the overheating.
