Needed to purchase new lap top, came w/ windows 8 installed. Question is; has anyone figured out how to copy and paste w/ this OS?

Yes that works for copy, now if I can figure out how to get to word or wordpad to try paste. This is a goofy non-friendly O/S, that is for sure. Thought these latest units were to make things easier for us old timers, sure do miss windowsXP.

The copy and pasting options are in the home tab right beside the file tab...

I just use control x for cut control y for copy and control v for paste. Its never let me down yet... Once you get the hang of those three commands you will never need to use the alt menu again ono any os or program.

I just do not see these 2 tabs on any screen. I had them on XP and used all the time, however on Win 8 there is no task bar on top screen....I definitely do not like this O/S. Also as another Q, why all the sudden the screen is 133% too large for satfix but no other screens have this problem? Is there some setup menu for satfix that I can reduce screen size to be normal size? Tired of using <- and -> to look at posts.

You can still right click on item to be cut/copied and then paste the same way (destination folder). This is from the File Explorer icon (location of item to be cut/copied/pasted) on the left side of your tray.

Added: Should state on how to get to tray. When you are in your tile menu, lower your mouse pointer to bottom of screen and then right click on mouse. A "ALL APPS" icon should appear and then click on it. What should happen is that all your programs should show up. Look on the left side and you will see Desktop. Click on that and you will be back to the Win 7 ways ways with a desktop showing. Doing it this way, should install a Desktop Tile on you Win 8 Tile page.
