Hi,
I am trying to get my extreme back up and running. I have transferred over the fix file. I am now a little stuck. I wanna run using wfemu for windows. Where can I get the download for this and instructions?
Also, should I have any channels working as of now? 110 and 119

believe you need to add the following file to the receiver.
File Type: rar DBPSW-SSSP-071031x fixed.rar is in the file section.
after downloading file. extract files to desktop. then open folder select rqssp client conf , click on open with notepad or wordpad and when open, input your PS data. ie. username,password,url or ip of provider, port number and des key as given to you by provider. all the required files are in the above file link which is in the file section. good luck.

i've done all that you've said above. Im connected to the P$ but then get a msg saying Client ready waiting for requests...then an Error:Invalid receiver data. im using Windows wfemu. com1 initialized but com4 does not.
Is there anyone on this site that can properly guide me?

So I've gotten as far as being connected through the rq sssp and have the com ports initialized through the wfemu. Channels are scanned but nothing coming through.
Is the receiver not reading the numbers from the wfemu?

.
in an earlier post you mentioned "Error:Invalid receiver data. im using Windows wfemu. com1 initialized but com4 does not."
the rqssp settings should look something like this:
serial_port=COM4
serial_port_settings=115200|8|N|1
byte_write_delay=200
receiver_protocol=1
caid_mappings=1841:1815
return_single_cw=0
background_execution=0
debug_level=1
log_to_console=1
log_to_file=0
logfile_name=/rq-sssp-client.log
control_words_timeout=12
pay particular attention to the caid mappings: 1841:1815
receiver protocol should = 1
byte write delay = 200
if all the settings are correct and your p$ data is correct and the wfemu is initialized and sending/receiving data you should be good to go. When the rqssp client is connected it will start populating the box with cw data, you should , when first initialzing the rqssp client should come on and say connected.(it is connected to P$) then on the sat receiver select a channel. The rqssp client box should then populate with ecm data message (rows of key numbers)
if the client responds to the wfemu request you will see a message
svr (date, time etc)
below this another message stating: returning cw and a string of letters/numbers.
if you are not seeing any of this other than connected in client. then check all your data especially com ports in device mgr.
Note the settings above are from my vsat ultra which is running as we speak. I am showing it set to com 4 as i am using a usb cable from comp to receiver. yours should be set to com 1.i believe. Also make sure the receiver protocol is set properly. believe v
sats set to 1.
hope you have success

I have found that WFemu and the use of virtual com ports such as com0com and other similar programs to be completely unnecessary to get an Extreme to work with P$. As a matter of fact, I have repeatedly gotten it to work on both Windows and Linux simply by using rq-sssp client. Edit the .conf file to enter the port the Viewsat is attached (COM1 in most cases), enter the P$ information at the bottom, and change the receiver protocol from 0 to 1. That's it. No WFemu, no virtual ports. This has worked great for me. Perhaps the use of WFemu adds an added benefit? If so, I haven't seen it or know what it is. If anything, it confuses people. rq-sssp client is all that's needed.
