I have a Jynxbox Ultra version 2, I came accross with a big problem when I was trying to download the database file (udf) to my USB, by somehow not sure what I did but the receiver reboot and remain there and never let me get in to see any channel not even to see anything on the main menu, it kept cycled on boot (Screen mesage).

I tried to load the file via USB and I was not able to do it because receiver never entered on the main menu screen.

-So I had to reprogram it again through the serial port cable and computer. at the beginning I tried to load file 237 (latest file for version 2) after I installed it receiver behaved the same (boot error).

-What I did after several attempts with no success was to install the JynxboxNA_factory_version_v8 file and it fixed the boot issue it let me entered to the main menu again but the biggest problem now is that I cant load back the 237 file again. If IŽve tired to load the receiver through the serial port cable using the computer and latest file I get error "Select file is grater than slave chunk size 0x00120000".
However I tried to load it using the USB it doesn't give me any error but once it finishes the boot issue comes back.
I am already worried about this receiver might be damaged and can never be updated to the newest Jynxbox vesion 2 files.

hope anyone has fixed this issues.

thanks in advance.

unplug the power from the wall, do not turn off the power, let it set for 1 min, then plug it back in.

Hi iq180, I loaded the bin 237, by selecting chunk option then switched from abs to all files and it got even worst. the receiver wont turn on at all. Only the two lights blue and red remain on the front display.
I am just seeing your message I didnt have a chance to try what you jsut told me:(

i dont think that will work now, just try to use the loader with one of the older bin files, good luck.

Load factory file via cable then factory default. Then try to load file 233 via usb on front port.

Disconnect all cables from the back turn off then try again with loader leaving cables out.
If you still can't get it turn unit off, wait 2 mins. then while holding the power button on flip the back switch on.

the jynx dont need to boot to be able to update, you need to use the rs232 cable, if the light=red or blue= is on the prosser is powered, you should be able to update this way.

The software makes the receiver boot in order to connect to it and upgrade it.

1- Is this a new jynxbox, has it worked before or are you setting it up for the first time.
2- What modules do you have installed. (ex. jb200,dvb-s2)
3- Unplug power, remove any installed modules and try booting without any modules.

I had to send it back to the vendor and make the warranty valid. We need to be careful in the future because this box is not too friendly and easy to repair like the Sonicview receiver. Probabably weŽll need to study more deeper the way to repair and fix this box.
