Greetings.

I used to be pretty heavily into the whole FTA scene back in the day but I essentially bailed after N3 and after realizing that the iHub that Sonicview had introduced wasn't working worth crap. I was not willing to endlessly fiddle with something and still not be able to watch a damn thing. This was essentially what was happening when I turned off the SV 8k for the last time.
I would occasionally fire up the box just to see if my moveable dish was still aimed properly and sure enough it still picks up most of the birds but I would just leave it sitting on Galaxy 19 @ 97°W. The only time I would ever turn it on would be to show a friend all the weird foreign channels on there.
However after doing a bit of reading yesterday I managed to update my iHub (which was at version 1.4) and get it to 2.2 and now its at version 4.12 and I'll be looking at the P/S situation and how reliable it is for people.
To be honest I don't really feel the desire to get sucked back into the idiot box (the Internet is vastly more important to me now) but I do miss the hobby somewhat.
It's a shame for me to have that big moveable 1.2 meter dish with an Invacom on my roof doing nothing so who knows?
I guess now I'll do some reading and try to find out people's personal opinions about various p/s.
Thanks.

Hello Sparky McBiff, welcome aboard! Enjoy your stay and visit often. You may want to start your reading in the court documents section to find out what's going on recently, just a heads up...
