can anyone tell me the addy to access a hughes modem ...i have tried 192.168.0.01 no go

if it is just a modem then it doesn't have an IP... if it is modem / router then I would try 192.168.1.1 or 100 for the last number. It has to be in the same range as your computer and other devices so if your computer local IP is 192.168.0.10 then the last digiti has to be between 0 and 255 and it wouldn't be 10

Andy is correct....
Most modems are set to 192.168.100.1 try that and it should work. I have a stand alone Motorola SB-6120 that has a telnet i.p. to look at the diagnostics and upstream/downstream information as well as other things.
