So far am not impress with the server channel take sometime to come in
other problem is switch from one sat to the other you have black screen then have to reboot then u have picture

How long for example? if I go from say 300 to 105 then to 712 then up to 9460 the channels come in instantly using a jynxbox.

Looks like it is a relatively new server - so they may not have enough clients yet to ensure that the Control Words for all the channels that they have available are in cache memory. As they add more clients the cache hits should increase and this will speed up the channel changes.
If you check the more popular channels you should see that the channel changes are relatively faster than the not so popular channels.

I bet your running nanosat or boxes that are built for 1 server even though they hold more than one...its processing speed nothing more nothing less

I stand by my statement - it absolutely is true - and if you don't know that - then I assume you are not the one that is running the load balancer.

Let's say you have only one client that is watching Fox News - then when that client connects to your load balancer and requests the control words for that channel - your load balancer will have to send that request to one of your card servers and the card server will have to generate the control words from the ECM it received and then send the control words back to your load balancer and then back to your client - that all takes a bit of time to do.

Now let's say you have 10 clients that are all watching Fox News - when I switch my receiver to Fox News then the control words for that channel should already be in your load balancer's cache memory and be available instantaneously - there is no need to send the request to any of your card servers - one of the other 10 clients has already done that - so I do not have to wait for a CW to be generated and sent to your load balancer.

If you have a good load balancer set up properly and have enough subscribed cards in your card servers to handle all the channels that you have available - then channel changes should be faster as you add more clients.

I assume you are just a dealer drumming up sales for these guys and maybe shouldn't be commenting on something you know nothing about IMHO

Might be worth a try snakeman. If you using 2 different servers. Try using one IP for one server and domain for the other. This should let the processor switch between servers faster and it doesn't have to go throught as many servers till it connects.

Wrong.... Hey buddy if you want a pissin match you've got one - either put up or shut up... You were the one that had to insert that rlmao acronym in your post. I was not dissing your service but only trying to explain a little bit how a load balancer works and that the YearlyIKS will probably even get better than what you have now - which is pretty good IMHO. I really don't know why you are trying to attack someone that is saying you have a good service - but so be it - it takes all kinds.

By the way it is a pretty good service and I have never bad mouthed it - they have a lot of extra international channels that a lot of other services do not have and I would recommend the service.

2. Get your facts straight buddy..... I did not want to reshare - I asked if you can park on one channel - ruthie for some reason thought that was resharing - so I did not pursue it any further. Some people do park on one channel and try to reshare - that is easy to detect - but that was not what I was asking about. If you own a motel you may want to park your receiver on one channel (for example a porn channel) and never move it. That is not resharing as far as I am concerned - but some people have a different interpretation and that is why I asked - I like to be above board and not try to sneak something by anyone - IMHO it is best to be honest and ask first.

3. I did not say that because you are a new server snakeman is having a problem - I simply tried to explain in simple terms how a load balancer works and that over time it will probably get better.
It appears that you do not know how a load balancer works - so I just wanted to fill in the blanks a little bit for you and the other readers of this thread - so you don't make the same mistake again and rlmao someone - whatever that means - I still haven't figured that one out :-)

I didn't hear you say that I was wrong about adding more clients will increase the speed of the channel changes - so I guess we both now agree on that point - but if not please elaborate - I am all ears.

During our bickering I think some readers of this thread may have learned a little bit today how a load balancer works - but most people really don't care - they only want their free TV :-) - so if you want to take this to a PM or just drop it - I am good either way.

If you are using two different services - then the only way to get a fair evaluation of this service is to get rid of the other service in your list. If you leave that other service in your list - you may be locked onto their servers and that could be your problem.
By getting rid of the other service - then you get a better idea of what this new service has to offer.
I have never seen a problem with this service that you have to reboot just because you changed from one satellite to the other - there are however some slow channel changes with the less popular channels but that should improve soon as they get more clients. If it does not improve then they may not have enough card servers to handle all of the channels that they have available - and BTW it is good list.

If you are having a problem switching from one SAT to the other, let's say from 119 to 110, then usually that means a problem with the tuner in your receiver - it is unlikely that the servers are to blame. Try to see if it is only the horizontal channels that are not switching properly - or is it both horizontal and vertical transponders.

Thanks Beav - that is what I thought - but the PM I received from one of the resellers here thought that was resharing. By the way I don't own any motels - but I don't mind the porn channels :-) Someone that I know wants to park on a porn channel - but I told him he should ask first to see if it is legal. I know a lot of services do no like channel parking and will shut you down if you stay on the same channel for too long. I don't know why they should care - they are getting paid X amount of dollars for only that one channel and they should be able to detect if there is resharing. But if that is their rule - then you have to live with it or move on.

I don't know how johnny knew what I PMed to another reseller here unless that reseller told him - that doesn't seem too kosher to me - but to each their own. I always thought a PM meant it was a "Personal Message" - but I guess some people have a problem with that.

You are right - a push of a purchased channel does happen all the time - but it really doesn't make any economical sense to me at all - but it probably isn't a good idea to scrunch the numbers here or the methods publicly :-)

I am not sure why one user would buy 20 codes from one service and sit on one channel - that would be a pretty expensive channel - they could buy a legal subscription for less than that and sit on it.
The only thing that would make sense is if they could buy that one, two or three channels from you much cheaper than they could buy it legally - if it is not a lot cheaper then why even try it. It is only $** per month to buy the most expensive porn channel semi-legally :-)

Hey Guys not complaining, just reporting .. I have 4 of these codes running between different family members and different setups with same results... the last couple days we might get lucky to watch for 15-20 mins without a disconnect ... when watching any channel for a few minutes a channel change also results in a disconnect or a very slow reconnect... also freezing comes and goes on different channels but sorry I cant be more specific which ones at the moment but it is an issue.. again not complaining just going with the flow...If I get 1 UFC fight to me I got my moneys worth so never a complaint here.. Id like to see more feedback from everyone up/down but all positive...cheers!!!!

It's been working working good for me after recovering from latest ecm. Some freezes but it recovers pretty much instantly. I didn't have to change channel or reboot or anything. I have a nanosat premium if tht matters or anything.
