Jack Swagger's promising push may be coming to an end after Mississippi police arrested him for allegedly speeding, driving under the influence (not alcohol) and marijuana possession.
If the WWE decides to severely punish the All-American American, they need to come up with a plan to set the stage for WrestleMania 29.
Unfortunately for Swagger and his fans, it seems like the WWE is taking action after they found out about Swagger's miscalculated and poor decision.
As of right now, Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship is still on for WrestleMania 29, but that may not be the case in the near future.
Injury Angle
If the WWE plans to drop Swagger from the title match at WrestleMania, they obviously need to build up a superstar to start feuding with Alberto Del Rio.
The easiest way to do this is to go create an angle where Swagger gets injured.
Perhaps a masked man or mystery attacker can take Swagger out of action?
The WWE has done this type of angle before back in 1999-2000, when "someone" ran over Stone Cold Steve Austin with The Rock's car.
Once Swagger is out of the picture, the WWE could determine the new No.1 contender by holding another Elimination Chamber match on SmackDown.
Having this type of match on SmackDown would bring in a lot of viewers and would be very entertaining.
The WWE could use the same five competitors that were involved in the Elimination Chamber PPV.
Also, SmackDown could have a massive Battle Royal in which the winner would earn the sixth spot (replacing Swagger) in the Elimination Chamber.
Let’s just hope it isn’t The Great Khali.
Punish Jack Swagger After WrestleMania 29
Another easy way to handle the Jack Swagger situation is to ride Swagger’s momentum all the way until WrestleMania, then punish him afterwards.
There is no denying that Swagger has been an absolute beast in the ring. He is smarter, faster and more powerful than ever before.
With the help of his manager Zeb Colter, the duo has been entertaining and controversial. They even have people outside of the WWE Universe talking!
If Jack Swagger makes it to WrestleMania 29, expect him to lose to Del Rio and then be demoted to mid-card status for a very long time.
He may even fall all the way down the WWE ladder and job to the likes of Zack Ryder again.
Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio Before WrestleMania 29
Although it may not make a lot of sense, Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship could take place before WrestleMania 29.
Whether it’s on Raw or SmackDown, Swagger could confront Del Rio and challenge him to a match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Even though the match is set for WrestleMania, we must remember that Swagger is the No.1 contender and that Alberto Del Rio is a fighting champion.
Swagger and Colter could verbally attack Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez, saying that they aren’t supposed to be in our country or something along those lines.
Initially, the WWE was/is creating a racially based storyline between the two going into WrestleMania, so if Swagger must be punished immediately, why not have a match before the big event in March?
Alberto Del Rio would defeat Jack Swagger and then a new No. 1 contender could be determined.
Another Elimination Chamber Match could take place after Swagger vs. Del Rio, or maybe a Fatal 4-Way amongst the top four superstars gunning for the World Heavyweight Championship.
If the WWE decides to take away Swagger's opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, why not put him in a match with The Undertaker?
He may not deserve a chance to end the streak, but The Undertaker is one of the most respected guys in the WWE.
Taker would teach Swagger a valuable lesson!
