broke pin

i was installing the sk200 8psk module and broke 1 of 4 pins that hold it in place. the dealer wont replace is it possible to fix myself. right now when its plugged in nothing lights up but have power at usb port. any idea s thanks.

Sounds like you broke more than 1 support pin. Maybe the dreamlink distributor or a good tech can fix it. I'm sure that the dealer can send it back for repair to the distributor.

Those 4 pins are only for proper alignment. They have no affect on how the receiver functions.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that you managed to break one

You might be able to get the board to seat with the missing pin...Removing the front face plate might help fro sure..So you can see under the board and the connectors better...Not sure how you broke the connecting pin???Lol...You need to be gentle!!!!Or you will brick the board..Theres a dece how too setup in the file section for this reciever with piks..

I actually had to remove a one section of the alignment spacers in order to get my neighbors STB to work. AS you push on a corner of the SK200 board it did wobble and one could see it in the display, no video at all with all red 97s when trying to align sat.
