Is it normal to constantly have freezing/screeching (every 5-10mins)? I'm afraid it might be a server issue. Does this happen to anyone else? I've noticed that the "connection" (from the info bar OSD) is lost when it happens. Is that the problem? Does "connection" refer to the connection to the server? If lost, does that cause the freezing/screeching? Am I making any sense? Can anyone help? :storm:

Yes. sky3.20 & 7.09 Factory. (Thanks for the quick response btw). Also, i think the current weather is affecting my ability to rescan the echo14 sat (from here in Southern Ontario). I've rescanned a few times now and can't seem to get any signal on some tp's for 118 (at least I hope it's the weather).
Is "connection" info from my menu OSD relevant?

when you go to network the connected refers to your home network
press the info button and that is your server info

It depends on what PS you are using.I have 2 different PS and I ended up putting them on servers 1-2 and they were no better so I switched them around. What I had set for server 1 I set it up on server 2 and the one on server 2 I set for server 1.After that it barely freezes unless of course a server maintanance issue or ecm.

you have the option of putting them in one of four server slots also

Not sure what is going on with your receiver. The only time I have the screeching or freezing is when I am downlaoding lots of stuff on the internet using my computer where I am using lots of bandwidth.

You say you have it setup on all 4 server.Do you actually have 4 different servers or are you using the one server and putting it into the 4 different server slots you can?
If you only have one server you use then try it in server 1.If this doesn't work then clear server 1 out and enter the information into server 2.if that don't work clear out server 2 and ebter the information into server 3.do this until you find it works well with yours.
I originally had NFPS on server 1 and another PS on server 2.The PS on server 2 was freezing constant but NFPS worked great with no freezing unless ecm or server maintenance.I factory defaulted my receiver and then set NFPS to use server 2 and my other PS to use server 1.After this all is good.Barely any freezing or screeching unless there is an issue with the server(ECM,Maintenance) other then that it is because I am using too much bandwidth from downlaoding.

One thing I fogot to add is:If you are using NFPS then the usual saying is on Mondays it seems that there is server maintenance with NFPS so it may be freezing if this is the PS you are using.
I also find that certain channels seem to have less freezing then others with NFPS.Not sure why but I know a few others that say this as well and they are runing different receivers.
