I just got the receiver and not happy with the picture quality--both HD and SD. if I move the module to the second slot, will it still work? Or is the second slot only for the ATSC module?

Before moving the module try changing the aspect ratio and see if you get a better picture doing that. I found that when I had the aspect ratio set to a higher level than what my TV could properly handle the picture was jittery, out of focus almost. Changed to Source and I am content with it now.

1080p 60 is my setting. Even better SD resolution than my former Sonicview Elite. HD is incredible in this resolution.
My problems are pixelation more so in SD than HD and usually when changing channels. Looking to remedy that with an Inline Satellite Amplifier to boost the signal.

I believe I addressed it with an addition. My bad as re-reading I notice the op was looking at module slots for a better fix as per title.
