Can Jynxbox be used without a server?

I am from the USA and would like to receive Turbo signals so I bought a Jynxbox Ultra HD. I have installed v237 and can scan in channels but when I try to watch there is strong signal, but black screen and no sound.
Here in the USA we will be in trouble if we de-scramble encrypted signals, so I won't try that, however there a few channels from time to time that are not encrypted, but those also are black screen. Can this receiver be setup to watch those channels?

Your receiver will work for true fta but for turbo 8psk you will need p$ to see those channels.

P$ is a paid service with connection to a server.

On just a guess I rolled the FW back to v1.2.33 and now getting several barker chs and Velocity on 110! So it will work without any IKS stuff for ITC channels.

Don't expect many channels to be open too often if at all.

Is Velocity always ITC?
I have been using beIN Sports to test for 110 signal - you won't get video but the sound is ITC.
There were also six Sirius music test channels ITC - but Dishnet deleted them last week.
