# Hornswoggle was the smallest competitor to ever compete in the Royal Rumble, and the smallest wrestler to eliminate another opponent. He also spent most of the match hiding under the ring. Although it seemed he eliminated himself, he wasn't actually seen going over the top rope.

# Finlay never officially entered the Rumble match as he came out before he was supposed to and left with Hornswoggle. WWE considered this being disqualified from the match. This was the first time any superstar had ever been disqualified from a Royal Rumble match.
# Hornswoggle was never officially eliminated from the match because when he was taken away from the ring by Finlay he went under the bottom rope but WWE counted this as an elimination.
# Glen Jacobs (Kane) made his 12th appearance in a Royal Rumble match, breaking his own record for the most Royal Rumble appearances. It was also his tenth-consecutive appearance, also billed as a record for Kane.
