Setting up vsmaxhd with xfta. Can't get router to run rqssp. Not sure if inputting right ip config. Instructions are too vague. Any help would be appreciated. After trying to run rqssp router won't communicate with pc and needs to be reset and start all over.

Got router setup finally but still won't work.

On your viewsat max go into menu ----> installation ----> serial setup ----> network s/w upgrades ----> network s/w version. if everything is set up properly and your receiver is communicating with the xfta this will display the xfta firmware version (probably wfemu0.23mex) and your problem lies in connecting to the server. if it says failed to load configuration the receiver is not communicating with the xfta. this may help narrow down where your problem is.

If the xfta firmware is wfemu.23mex then you probably have a bad xfta router? This is happening to me all the time now. I switch from an active channel to an inactive channel a lot of times the picture will almost immediately freeze and it takes a devil of a long time to get a picture again. I checked and my firmware is wfemu.23mex and the ip,subnet,gateway,dns1,and dns2 are correct in the viewsat Max.Also the setup is DHCP;for the life of me I can't get it to stay static.I have a suspicion that the power supplies aren't the best as the green light keeps going off on me.

Xfta is known to lockup on a bad channel. Go into gargolye and stop then start client or reboot router or switch to xx-client.

Good suggestion Dishfish. I will do that so I can watch some tv before my drea****k hd comes in. The xfta used to work a lot better than it does now...
