Hi again, my tv shows the input from my reciever to be 1080i HD16:9 but it does not look like HD its not very clear , when I watch sports its grainy, I get better quality over the air, is there something Im doing wrong ?

Its a sd rcvr....

HDMI is only an interface connection. It has no bearing on whether the signal is high definition or not.
