whats the main difference between a 9500hd and a 9600hd,, I can get a reurb 9500 for less than half the price of a 9600, which is the way to go??

will I notiice a noticeable improvement on sd channels with a 9500hd over my current i-link200???
obviously hd channels should rock???

the difference is one says 9600 instead of 9500.. lol... there are some differences in the bin, but they are pretty much the same unit, they will both look the same pretty much.

Agree, no real difference worth the price difference. Definitely fails the cost/benefit test. The 9600 included an IKS server at launch. If that's still up I wouldn't count on it being up much longer.

You can also get a Fresat HD800 and convert it into a iLink9600 by just using the iLink 9600 latest bin file.

I am using a I link 9600 HD and it works very well with private server, buy a brand new one and do the set up shown here, you won't have any problem. I bought a second one and it was already set up with 8psk and it doesn't work very well. The first one doesn't have 8spk (no HD) but I can watch all the channel nicely

I've had a 9500 for over 2 years & for about a year 1/2 it worked great but it hasn't worked at all for several weeks now, no matter what.

The 9600 is a newer model, so better chance it will work than the 9500, but it's still not new, been out for, I guess, about a year which is a while in this hobby. The latest Dreamlink or Jynxbox is a better bet, if it's about more open channels for longest time, & not just cheapest box.
