I need help with this bird.
I have 82 on a 22khz sharing port 1 disec with 91
It is locked and I can scan it but lots of channels missing. I even tried manual scan and same. If I do a factory reset and scan again, I see duplicate channels. But the missing channels are still not there.
I would have to upload the factory file to get rid of the duplicates. I am testing the 119 bin.
As an example the food HD is not coming in. I just don't see that channel after the 82 scan.

Duplicate channels are usually a result of performing a blindscan , autoscanning multiple sats at the same time or an autoscan with a defective switch. I would try bypassing both switches and performing an autoscan on each sat that you are pointing at.

Stanw it only happens on 82. 91,110,129 has no problem. Now you mention it, this is a new 22khz switch I just brought. This is the first time I used it.
I will switch my 82 and 91 since they are on the 22khz switch.
Maybe the 22khz side is bad.
Anymore ideas? Hate to go to the roof with the temp outside.
Could it be the bin?

I suspect the switch - is 82 on the on or off side ? . On the other hand it could have something to do with the fact that it's a hd receiver . Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test it .
Maybe someone that has one can give their perspective.

probably a dumb question but did you turn on 22khz in the receiver menu for the satellite connected to the on side of the switch?

The 82 is on the on side. In the menu I did turn on the 22khz with disec to 1. 91 I have it off with disec 1. 91 works perfectly. I an watching 82 but lots of channels are missing

Another easy solution is to use an Sw21 switch connected to port #1 of diseqc
Ex. Sw21 port 1 82 and Sw21 port 2 91 both connected to port #1 on diseqc

Weather was better and instead of going to the store I tried a different connection.
This time I put back my 91,110,119,129 to disec ports 1,2,3,4 respectively.
I took the receiver port of the disec to my 22khz off port. I hooked my 82 on my 22khz on port.
The 22khz is connecting to my receiver.
So now dreamlink has 22khz on with disec off for 82.
The others are 22khz off and using ports.
All sat are detected. Factory reset first of course before dish settings.
82 is no longer missing channels. However it is not picking up ppv 526-559
I just see 520 and then 560.
I rescanned without factory reset on 110 and 119.
Good thing is the duplicate issue is not happening. But still the same channels are missing.
I will go buy another sw21 but now I like the idea of 8x1 disec. Just got to find a place I can go buy.
Is it possible the proble is with the 119 bin?
I am gonna try factory file 105 with bin 114 tonight.
Probably could be a bad 22khz. This is testing.

Not sure about the bin but there will always be signal loss when scanning with a switch ( cable length/quality is also a factor). Before throwing more money at the issue I would try bypassing the switch and scanning 110,119. Check Q on the tps that the missing channels are on(check lyngsat) - your dish might require minor tweaking.

What type/brand of LNB's are on the 91/82 dish?
Some LNB's don't play nice with 22 KHz switches.

Hey stanw 110/119 scans in properly without 22khz.
Terryl my 82,91,110,119 uses the lnb that bev installer would use. It is the thicker type.
My 129 has a dish dedicated by itself because of the neihbours tree in the way. It is using the 118/119 lnb. I set it to 10750.
All the channels were fine until I tried to add 22khz to connect 82.
I removed 22khz and 91,110,119,129 all scans properly

Once scanned in are the ppv channels viewable with the 22khz connected? You might try a sw21 in place of the current switch.

Stanw no it won't.
I got a sw21.
Cant lock into 91.
I think I don't have enough power.

82,91,110,119 using Legacy Single Lnb with 2 outputs
129 using the lnb that can switch between 12500 and 10750
I am testing in the living room all this time. I always have the other receivers off.
I got it to work by turning on the Bedroom receiver.
My 91 was detected. If i turn off the Bedroom, 91 couldn't be detected.
Sw21 couldn't even pick up 91 at all without the power of the bedroom receiver.
I am thinking the 22khz probably uses less power because atleast it detected the sat.
i have lots of old receivers, how could i hook up an old one to send the power in.
I know you can use dp44, but can i do something with my 3x4. there is 1 extra port on each of them that is not being used.
thanks

When you say you are using the Bev "thicker Type" lnb the kind a Bev installer would use, is it possible that it could be a DP lnb? Bev. recently have switched from Legacy lnbs to DPs. I don't believe 22khz or sw21 switches are compatible with DP lnbs.

No it is not a DP. I checked them. There is no logo or tag that say dp. I googled a pic as a reference. Also I had the lnb for over 2 years except 82. But it is not a dp.
This receiver can use a diseque 1.1 8X1 type switch that can be found on e-bay for $16-20 including shipping. This would reduce the extra switch required with a sw21 or a 21khz. Also I dont understand why u would use the LNB for 118/119 on your 129 dish instead of using it for where it was intended ; on the 119 satellite.

Rayr I think the 8x1 is the way to go.
My dish grew. My yoke is a 5 lnb. 82-119
I started with 110 and 119.
Then 118. So then I added 91. Then 129. Now 82.
My 129 needs to be on a dish on its own because of the neighbors tree.
I did find a dp44 switch in the basement. Thinking of throwing 82 and 129 on there so I can expand them to the other room.
Yea you are right... i need to switch it back.
LOL phantom a 5 lnb yoke. I dont know your physical lay out but if you can separate the dishes here is a suggestion. Move the dish to where you can see 110, 119, and 129 and keep these three sats all on the same dish. Then use a separate dish for 82 and 91. That will maximize the signal levels for all five sats.

Lol. Its not bad. I got good signal on the 5. My 129 is the problem. It's the freaken neighbour's tree. The 129 is a longer run. Signal is good. I'll leave it. The real issue is trying to get power for dreamlink.

i got it working great now.
I ordered the 8x1 disec from ebay as suggested and installed it last nite.
I removed the living room 4x1 disec and the sw21.
2 things were fixed. Now i don't need any other receiver turned on to watch 91, or 82.
Also switching from 129 to a sd channel no longer shows the Bad or Signal issue.
It is seamless.
That is great phantom glad it worked out for you. An thanks for letting us know.
